All of the great/good/awesome moments of our lives are celebrated with cake. Which means each time we bite into a piece of cake, we are remembering all of the great cakes and experiences that we celebrated before.

The best thing about cake is....THE FROSTING! Ok, really I like the frosting a lot but the cake is really the star. I love the memories it invokes and the way the first bite tastes....awwww, sheer bliss!
Cake is usually for special events, so when there's a cake around, then you're probably having a good time. The best thing about cake is that it makes me happy!
I am a child at heart. I eat the cake first and then the last few bites of cake have a very high icing to cake ratio.

Oh gosh, the best thing about cake...is when you successfully make one yourself - from scratch. I've eaten so many boxed cakes and cakes from stores and cupcakes from bakeries, but when I made my own cake from scratch for the first time and it was delicious, I dubbed it the best cake I'd ever had. The fact that it was also for my dad's 60th birthday made it extra special.
The word just makes me happy! You always remember the most wonderful occasions by what cake you ate...or the leftovers you had the next morning! YUM@

The best thing about cake is the mouthful of contrast. Spongey cake, creamy frosting, crunchy sprinkles... it's a party of textures before you even get to the flavors!
The best part about cake is it reminds me of my mom! Growing up we always had the most extravagant cakes for our birthdays! She would go over the top. Cuz every 5 year old needs a 3 tier cake for their birthday! ;)

Cake is a creative outlet. It's a delectable treat. It's an element that connects people no matter their religion, geography or social status. That is the best thing about cake.
The best thing about cake is being able to try so much variety...so many shapes, sizes, colors, flavors!...and still being able to come back to a favorite that evokes memories of childhood and grandma and summer. This applies as much to making cake as it does to eating cake!
The best thing about cake... I'm afraid it's the frosting. Cake isn't really all that great on its own, but adding a frosting that's a great match is beyond yummy.
(It's also pretty amazing mashed up with ice cream... have you ever had cake batter ice cream? Oh my!)

Best thing about cake? The combination of textures - silky smooth icing with the toothsome feel of the cake and the hopefully delicious flavours too!

The best thing about cake is that you can get any size serving you want, day or night! Unlike a cupcake, it's not pre-sized - you can have a ginormous slice at bedtime or a tiny little sliver for breakfast.
