Even though the food isn't exactly real, Ratatouille gets me every time. I am not a big soup fan, but in one of the earlier scenes when Remy is fixing Linguini's soup makes my mouth water!!!
I still love the scene in 9 1/2Weeks where they are sitting in front of the fridge and he's feeding her and she's blindfolded!

Maybe because it's Christmas, maybe because I just watched it; but right now what jumps out is from Elf and when Buddy is preparing food for everyone. The spaghetti and candy and maple syrup...makes me think anything can be a culinary masterpiece, if it's made with love! :)
I would saw it is the chocolate river in Willi Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. What can surpass that?
the scene in fried green tomatoes where they get in a food fight...love it :)
i LOVE this post because i LOVE food in movies! My favorite food-in-movie-scene is in the 90s movie "It Could Happen to You." The waitress gets so excited that she gets half of the lottery ticket as her tip she freaks out and dishes pie and vanilla ice cream to everyone in the restaurant! Everyone is so excited and she is elated she can pay for it all!
The "Chinese Turkey" (aka duck) in 'A Christmas Story'. Oh, Lord, remember that scene? "It's SMILING' at me!" Thwack!
Great movie, great scene. My kids, who are both under 9, think meatloaf must be accompanied by mashed potatoes and beets, all because of this movie!
I don't know about my favorite but the scene that first came to mind was in French Kiss when Meg Ryan is eating and loving all the french cheese on the train and then she gets so sick. I love that movie!

I always enjoyed the scene at the end of the Dudley Moore Santa Claus movie (1985) where the character, B.Z. (played by John Lithgow) eats an entire handful of magic candy canes only to find himself floating higher and higher, disappearing into outer space. That cracked me up so much when I was a kid!
I love all the pie-making scenes in the movie "Waitress," especially the
I CAN’T HAVE NO AFFAIR BECAUSE IT’S WRONG AND I DON’T WANT EARL TO KILL ME PIE – “Vanilla custard with banana. Hold the banana …”
haha
It's a toss-up. Ally Sheedy's Cap'n Crunch and Pixi Stix sandwich in the Breakfast Club or the Lickable Wallpaper in Willy Wonka. One day I hope to have both.
I absolutely love the spaghetti scene in The Lady and the Tramp!!
Hands down, my favorite is the food fight in Hook. I love all that colorful pudding stuff!
Lady and the Tramp when they slurp the spaghetti together!
I love the scene in Dodgeball when Ben Stiller has a slice of pizza and his assistant walks in on him.

In Seven Pounds, when the woman cooks Will Smith that pasta dinner she worked so hard on... then they dance together outside and he can hear her hearbeat. Goosbumps.

At the end of Driving Miss Daisy when Hoke (Morgan Freeman) is feeding Miss Daisy (Jessica Tandy) pie. It's a beautiful and loving scene.
The cafeteria scene from Animal House.
I love when the little mouse cooks the soup in Ratatouille. He is so cute!
ABSOLUTELY the scene in Spalsh where Darryl Hannah tears into that huge lobster. I can't eat shellfish of ANY kind without thinking of that. Priceless!
Being in the holiday season here, I am going to have to go with the Egg Nog in Christmas Vacation. It made my day the other day when Cupcake Royale referenced it in their holiday lineup description.
Hook! When Robin Williams (as grown-up Peter Pan) doesn't see any of the imaginary food at their feast, until something changes, and all of a sudden, he sees *everything* ridiculous :D!
When Harry Met Sally, the scene in the diner where, over lunch, she talks about faking it....
Oh..this movie looks so fun! Gosh- we're getting spoiled with all your give-aways! :-) I'm going to have to say my fave food movie moment is in Spanglish when Adam Sandler's character is making an egg sandwich- its not just your regular egg sandwich - its like mouth watering amazing. :-) I'm surprised at myself that I didn't come up with a SWEET food movie moment - but heck- I eat regular food every now and then too! :-) Thanks, Jessie!
Honestly, I love the food scenes in the Harry Potter movies. The food all looks so yummy...but I mostly think it's because I wish my food just appeared like that. :)
Thanks!
