These sound like some sweet prizes for movie enthusiasts!

I am mildly obsessed with the film Simply Irresistible with Sarah Michelle Gellar. It is just so magical! The entire movie is about food, and all of the scenes are delicious and romantic, but my favorite is towards the end. Sarah Michelle Gellar's character is a baker/chef and cooks an elaborate multi course for hundreds of people. Every emotion she feels while cooking goes into her food, and then makes the people that eat it feel the same. In the scene, you see all of the people feel romantic, sad, happy, etc. It's wonderful!

Ah, there are so many!
I'd venture to say my favorite is from Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone when they're on the train and you get your first peak at magical desserts. Chocolate frogs anyone? (:

I love PIE!
The movie waitress had some yummy looking pies, and they were so stylishly named!

I love the scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts is eating seafood for the first time, and one flies through the air. Then she says "slippery little sucker" when she is dressed like a princess.

I just re-watched Napoleon Dynamite a couple days ago, so I gotta go with the scene where Uncle Rico throws a steak at Napoleon and knocks his glasses off!

Well, it's not a movie that has food as a main role but I love it in "Bride Wars" how they do the wedding cake tasting and then Emma(Anne Hathaway) sends Liv all these treats, (like stuff from places like the International Butter Club to a cookie bouquet) so she can't fit into her wedding dress. V. funny. I have it on DVD!

d O_o b _He's thinking about cookies while watching that movie trailer!

Hands down my favorite movie food scene is in "Christmas Story" where the Parker family is introduced to "Chinese turkey." Hilarious!!!!~~~XXOO, Beth

Stranger Than Fiction when Will Farrell's character gives Maggie Gyllenhaal's character a box of flours. It was kind of the sweetest thing I've ever seen.

Most hilarious food-in-a-movie scene is from "Raising Arizona" when the two convicts are eating "cereal flakes" at H.I. & Ed's house. Thanks!

I don't remember the movie for the life of me... But I remember there was a scene in this movie where the girl, who is a baker, was seeing two guys and she was at the richer guy's house making chocolate souffles and they didn't poof up and that's when she realized she liked the other guy more. I think it was in Because I Said So w/ Mandy Moore? I loved that scene b/c I thought it was so funny that it took her making miserable souffles to realize she wasn't happy. I kinda get the same way (even though I'm not seeing two guys!)

I was thinking of this scene just last night as I was making (vegan) meatballs & spaghetti. In Bandits, they have dinner with the family of the first bank manager they kidnap. The wife had made spaghetti and meatballs and Terry (one of the bandits) disects the flavor profile of the sauce while the wife tries in vain not to burst into tears. Favorite line (and look): "See, I cook a little." And he manages to guess her secret ingredient: saffron. <3!

Wow, so many good food scenes! Mine might be at the beginning of "Pulp Fiction" w/ Samuel L. and the Big Kahuna Burger. ;)

I think my favorite scene is from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Imagine eating whatever you can see! Plates, flowers, grass...!

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...almost every scene, but especially where Gunter falls in the chocolate river. HEAVEN!

December 8 | Unregistered Commenteralimac33

From Heartburn...when Meryl Streep makes Jack Nicholson a simple pasta with garlic, olive oil and parmigiana and they eat it from a big bowl in bed (tee hee)). familymonaghan@gmail.com

Basically the whole of "Stranger than Fiction" but especially when he brings her "flours." Swoon!
