Sweet Giveaway: Matryoshka M-Cups Giveaway!
Things that are sad: CakeSpy's birthday week is over. And (bad spy) the giveaway schedule had a slight hitch: friday's giveaway never went up! Yikes (must have been too busy eating Birthday Cake French Toast!).
Things that are glad: There's a final giveaway to cap the week and say thank you for the totally sweet memories.
That's right: here's another giveaway, this time for the lovely and amazing M-Cups by super-creative company FRED! Here's a description:
This set of 6 dry-measure cups nests neatly just like traditional Russian matryoshkas. They accurately measure 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and 1 full cup, and they’re built from heavy-duty, food-safe, long-life engineering plastics. M-Cups are useful, easy to store, and quite charming...so why not doll up YOUR kitchen with a little Russian folklore? Each set is packaged in a full-color printed giftbox.
They're a popular seller at CakeSpy Shop, and now you can win a set for free! How? Simply answer the following pressing cake question below. US and Canadian entrants only this time, please! The giveaway will close next Tuesday, September 7, at 12pm PST. Good luck!
Here's the question:
What is your least favorite dessert, and why?
Update: The winner!
We have a winner, friends! It's Andrea, who has a least favorite dessert which may prove controversial:
I'm not a huge fan of chocolate chip cookies. I'd rather eat the chocolate chips straight out of the bag or have the cookie minus the chips.
Well, she can just bake something else with these totally sweet cups, I guess! Congratulations!

I love most desserts, but for some reason hate all fruit pies except apple.
Louikimadas, that fried greek dough dessert. It always has a weird aftertaste.
Anything with fruit!!!!!!!! Why ruin dessert with fruit?
My LEAST favorite dessert would have to be Ice Cream Cake.... I just dont like the mixing combination of cake, whip frosting, and ice cream..:(
Probably rice pudding...like eating wallpaper paste!
Flourless chocolate cake...too bitter!
Least favorite dessert is probably wedding cake. I'll skip it at every single wedding I attend.
I think my least favorite dessert would be a fruitcake. It's too dense and not very pretty, it just looks like a Christmas tree ornament rock-blob.
My least favorite dessert would have to be fruit cake. Honestly, I don't enjoy any part of it--the taste, the smell, the look.
Flan! Can't even begin to describe how "yuck" this dessert is!
I would say jello or a rice krispy treat. I just do not like all the sugar.
I love matryoshkas.
I do not love dry cake with icing that has gelatin in it. (Think bad wedding cake.)
Tapioca Pudding...always reminds me of frog eggs... Can't get past that!
Cherry pie. I love the look of it (it's almost iconic) but the texture just creeps me out somehow.
Cherry pie. I love the look of it (it's almost iconic) but the texture just creeps me out somehow.
My least favorite dessert is flan. I've never met a flan that I liked or that I thought was done well.
Cherry pie. I like cherries uncooked, I like maraschino cherries, but can't eat cherry pie.
Anything with raisins! Yuck
By far, flan is the worst. The texture, the eggy taste. I just can't seem to like it.
Anything with raisins in it...(yuck!!)
My favorite dessert is the Italian Cream Cake. It means celebration time in my family. The first time I tasted it was at a wedding shower and had to restrain myself licking the plate. The texture makes people swoon. The batter has buttermilk and a duo of shameful artificial flavorings (coconut and butter) that actually taste fabulous in the cake. The recipe is from Cooking Light and I NEVER would have tried on my own, because it has nuts in it which I would have assumed meant the DREAD spice cake flavor. Fortunatly for me, someone make the cake and shared the recipe!
Flan. i don't like the texture.. it kinda grosses me out..
I love those baking cups! I've wanted them for forever and ever!!!
I'm going to go with flan...or oatmeal raisin cookies...i've never understood why people put raisins in them when chocolate is SO much better.
I don't really like cake with whipped cream frosting. I like thick, dense, frosting.
I also want to add that I'm not a fan of dried marshmallows in cereal. It's a texture thing - reminds me of nails scraping down a chalkboard.
My least favorite dessert is vanilla icecream. Why eat PLAIN vanilla when there are so many delicious flavors and toppings that are not so boring?
