Sweet Giveaway: Matryoshka M-Cups Giveaway!
Things that are sad: CakeSpy's birthday week is over. And (bad spy) the giveaway schedule had a slight hitch: friday's giveaway never went up! Yikes (must have been too busy eating Birthday Cake French Toast!).
Things that are glad: There's a final giveaway to cap the week and say thank you for the totally sweet memories.
That's right: here's another giveaway, this time for the lovely and amazing M-Cups by super-creative company FRED! Here's a description:
This set of 6 dry-measure cups nests neatly just like traditional Russian matryoshkas. They accurately measure 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and 1 full cup, and they’re built from heavy-duty, food-safe, long-life engineering plastics. M-Cups are useful, easy to store, and quite charming...so why not doll up YOUR kitchen with a little Russian folklore? Each set is packaged in a full-color printed giftbox.
They're a popular seller at CakeSpy Shop, and now you can win a set for free! How? Simply answer the following pressing cake question below. US and Canadian entrants only this time, please! The giveaway will close next Tuesday, September 7, at 12pm PST. Good luck!
Here's the question:
What is your least favorite dessert, and why?
Update: The winner!
We have a winner, friends! It's Andrea, who has a least favorite dessert which may prove controversial:
I'm not a huge fan of chocolate chip cookies. I'd rather eat the chocolate chips straight out of the bag or have the cookie minus the chips.
Well, she can just bake something else with these totally sweet cups, I guess! Congratulations!

Probably would be a sugar cookie. Unless it is iced up, it's just a little too boring for me.
Baklava - I'm always afraid I'm going to choke. And PS, where's the chocolate?
Anything flan, fruitcake, or involving mincemeat. Ick.
Bread pudding. Gross. Why would I want to eat bread for dessert? Bread is meant to be toasted with butter.
Grocery store pie. The crust is just terrible, but growing up with Thai parents, they had no idea how to make crust or anything that required an oven for that matter, so they would buy a pie at the grocery store when they were on sale. Gross.
Cinnamon buns - I can't stand the glaze and they're usually WAY too overpowering and rich. Usually I love cinnamon, but those big sticky rolls just don't do it for me.
Jello.... it wiggles.
I would say it is bread pudding which is strange because I love french toast but I hate bread pudding.
Rice pudding or anything with those candied fruits like spumoni or fruit cake. Blech.
Probably stawberry ice cream / milkshakes. Or Bostom creme pie. I just don't like the taste of either of them.
My least favorite dessert is grocery store pie. The piecrust is chewy - UGH
cream puffs....i need more substance with my dessert
My least favorite dessert is mincemeat pie. It was always at my Grandmother's house for the holidays and it always tasted terrible and the name was worse.
Those measuring cups would perfectly match the set of nesting dolls I got in Poland in 1997.
Fruitcake. So rarely good. Dry. Cloying. or Mushy.
Flan...it makes me feel like I'm eating human skin.
Fruit. Fruit is not a dessert. Fruit in a dessert, yes. Fruit, no. LOVE everything else!
Tapioca pudding is the worst! I don't understand why anyone would want to eat pudding that is lumpy on purpose.
Cannoli - I want to like them but no matter what's in the filling, its always a dissapointment!
Ugh, flan. It's like jello but worse.
Anything with fruit. Fruit was not meant for desserts.
tapioca. ick.
I don't like apple pie. Crisp, uncooked apples are great, and applesauce is delicious, but mushy apples in a pie crust should never be mistaken for dessert.
Cheesecake. I just hate the flavor of cream cheese.
I'd have to say Flan. It seems thats the popular vote around here too...just what do people see (or taste) in it?? Blech.
Trifle - soggy layers of cake - ew
