Sweet Giveaway: Matryoshka M-Cups Giveaway!

Things that are sad: CakeSpy's birthday week is over. And (bad spy) the giveaway schedule had a slight hitch: friday's giveaway never went up! Yikes (must have been too busy eating Birthday Cake French Toast!).

Things that are glad: There's a final giveaway to cap the week and say thank you for the totally sweet memories.

That's right: here's another giveaway, this time for the lovely and amazing M-Cups by super-creative company FRED! Here's a description:

This set of 6 dry-measure cups nests neatly just like traditional Russian matryoshkas. They accurately measure 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and 1 full cup, and they’re built from heavy-duty, food-safe, long-life engineering plastics. M-Cups are useful, easy to store, and quite charming...so why not doll up YOUR kitchen with a little Russian folklore? Each set is packaged in a full-color printed giftbox.

They're a popular seller at CakeSpy Shop, and now you can win a set for free! How? Simply answer the following pressing cake question below. US and Canadian entrants only this time, please! The giveaway will close next Tuesday, September 7, at 12pm PST. Good luck!

Here's the question:

What is your least favorite dessert, and why?

Hmm... this is a hard one to answer...
I guess for me it would also have to be cherry Pie,
I love fresh cherries, but cooked cherries.... not so much...
Also FONDANT... can't stand the texture/sweetness of it,
but it never keeps me from eating the cake!! :)

Apple Pie or any kind of baked apple.

...SO Hard...desserts are so delicious...i guess if i had to chose it would have to be anything with walnuts
( i hate walnuts)

Kuchinta, filipino steamed rice cake.

I've never been able to enjoy cherry pie; I think it's just too sweet for me. Fresh cherries fare better than canned, but still, no go for me.

I don't like any fruit pies! Give me fruit or give me chocolate, but don't mix fruit with dessert, please! Definitely on the side of cake here in cake vs. pie, though chocolate pie is acceptable.

Good luck everyone!

rice pudding - yuck

Creme brulee. I find it just doesn't have any flavor.

August 31 | Unregistered CommenterDawn

I'd have to say any dessert involving citrus. Citrus in general just brings thoughts of bathroom cleaners and that is not what I want to be thinking of while enjoying a piece of cake.

Jigglers. I love pudding, but the whole Jell-o thing creeps me out a little, especially when the fruit is suspended in it. I just don't think dessert should look so congealed. And I like flavors other than just 'sugar' in dessert, I feel like I'm just eating gelatinous kool-aid or something. Give me chocolate cake any day of the week!

anything banana.....b/c i'm allergic!!

August 31 | Unregistered Commenterarlene

Flan. Seriously... even the name is dull. And ugly.

August 31 | Unregistered CommenterLogan

Anything with pecans, walnuts or hazelnuts. Got sick off them when I was a kid and still haven't recovered!

August 31 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

Rice pudding.

Or anything that tastes like hazelnut.

Or contains Nutella.

August 31 | Unregistered CommenterSarah

my least favorite is creme brulee.. it's TOO sweet. like a disgustingly too sweet. most of the time. I've had a couple good ones, but still. :)

Brownies from a box mix. I was at a party recently and I saw a plate of tasty looking brownies I started to make a bee line for them and the host starting explaining the food out and said "and everything here came from box mixes"

let. down.

It's a toss up between apple pie and pineapple upside down cake.

Most apple pies are mediocre and either to sweet or too tart. They usually lack balance so they come out tasting blah. Not many people make a really great flaky pie crust, either. If given the chance though, I'll eat the crust and leave the apples!!

Pineapple upside down cake usually has stringy pineapple on top. The cake is okay, I guess but that warm pineapple on top makes me shudder a bit.

Cakespy...you should know it's ANYTHING with coconut! :-)

Blueberry pie. It's just too much blueberry!

August 31 | Unregistered Commenterlaura

Creme brulee -- don't like the taste of burned sugar.

August 31 | Unregistered CommenterMyra

I can't do pecan pie. I always think it'll make my teeth fall out.

August 31 | Unregistered CommenterJoanna

Flan. The texture...that soup it always seems to be sitting in....blech.

August 31 | Unregistered CommenterRachel

cannoli and any other creme filled confection. ew
