Sweet Giveaway: Matryoshka M-Cups Giveaway!
Things that are sad: CakeSpy's birthday week is over. And (bad spy) the giveaway schedule had a slight hitch: friday's giveaway never went up! Yikes (must have been too busy eating Birthday Cake French Toast!).
Things that are glad: There's a final giveaway to cap the week and say thank you for the totally sweet memories.
That's right: here's another giveaway, this time for the lovely and amazing M-Cups by super-creative company FRED! Here's a description:
This set of 6 dry-measure cups nests neatly just like traditional Russian matryoshkas. They accurately measure 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and 1 full cup, and they’re built from heavy-duty, food-safe, long-life engineering plastics. M-Cups are useful, easy to store, and quite charming...so why not doll up YOUR kitchen with a little Russian folklore? Each set is packaged in a full-color printed giftbox.
They're a popular seller at CakeSpy Shop, and now you can win a set for free! How? Simply answer the following pressing cake question below. US and Canadian entrants only this time, please! The giveaway will close next Tuesday, September 7, at 12pm PST. Good luck!
Here's the question:
What is your least favorite dessert, and why?
Update: The winner!
We have a winner, friends! It's Andrea, who has a least favorite dessert which may prove controversial:
I'm not a huge fan of chocolate chip cookies. I'd rather eat the chocolate chips straight out of the bag or have the cookie minus the chips.
Well, she can just bake something else with these totally sweet cups, I guess! Congratulations!

It depends on my mood -- if I want chocolate and I get vanilla, I'm not happy!
Tiramisù. Because it's most often made badly and then is a total texture violation!
I don't like lemon. Wasting a dessert on something that is lemon flavored makes me sad.
Chocolate ice cream. I love chocolate, but I don't at all enjoy chocolate ice cream.

Tiramisu. I can't stand coffee ane even a custom made version sans java just doesn't do it for me - too soggy.
Clafouti. Unappealing texture, bland crust. I'm not one for fruity desserts either.
Tres Leches cake has never made my skirt fly up (but these precious measuring cups sure do!!!).
Least favorite dessert is flan. It's not only a texture thing, for me it is a taste thing. I tend not to like the taste of caramel on it's own and flan is just so strong and overly sweet.
I like most every dessert--but the only one that just never does it for me is Chocolate Cream Pie...the chocolate never tastes anything different from chocolate pudding....and I love chocolate--but this never seems to do the trick!
Meringues are my least favorite dessert...way too sweet!
Pecan Pie - too sweet and gloppy....yuck. Also, boxed cake - that artificial vanilla is just nasty.
Flan.. first of all because I am allergic to eggs, also because of the texture!
licorice. it's awful. the flavor is like eating rotten fruitcake. blech. (that being said, i'm not a huge fan of fruitcake either, but my sister loves it! she's nuts)
fruitcake, it's like eating toy food, all of that artificial stuff in it just makes me cringe at the thought of it, yuck!!!
Cherry pie (because it's the equivalent of eating sweet warm eyeballs) and lemon meringue (because it reminds me of that foamy flouride treatment I would get at the dentist as a kid...YUCK!).
Fruitcake
That's the only dessert I can think of that I don't like.
My least favorite dessert is peach pie, because it is just a little too sweet for my taste!
My least favorite dessert is apple pie. Not being a fruit fan, I've never really liked pie (I've only just begun to enjoy the autumnal heaven that is pumpkin pie), but when someone says coffee and dessert that ultimately ends up being apple pie, I settle for just the coffee.
My least favorite desert is tres leche's.
Chocolate cream pie with mushy crust YUCK!
Sugar-free desserts that have that weird aftertaste from a sugar substitute. I'd rather have a small portion of something with good, wholesome ingredients (yes, sugar's one of them!) rather than be disappointed with the bitter aftertaste or the much-too-sweet edge of sugar-free desserts. (And like many of you, I've done great things with applesauce or babyfood pears, etc., to make some recipes more healthful. But I'll never give up my buttery megachocolate recipes!) Cheers!
Mincemeat pie. My step-mother would go crazy over it growing up and I couldn't even stomach it.
My least favorite dessert is the one I didn't get.
Coconut cream pie is my least favorite. It's just YUCK!
