CLOSED: Sweet Giveaway: Win a $100 Gift Card For CSN Stores!

We have Corelle to thank for this giveaway, friends.

Yup--you saw that dishware text link. For that, CSN Stores has kindly offered something that is of much interest to cake lovers and bakers: a $100 gift card good to be redeemed at any of their online stores! After reviewing the products available at their Cookware.com website, I find it worth the link, as all sorts of products of interest to bakers and baked-good enthusiasts are available there, including cake pans, cake plates, pastry molds, and my favorite Emile Henry Pie plates!

Want to be entered in the running? OK! Here's what you do: simply leave a comment on this post stating your opinion on this important baked-good subject: if you had to choose your "last meal" dessert, what would it be?

Chocolate cream pie? A banana split? Pop-tart ice cream sandwiches? An entire birthday cake? Inquiring minds need to know! This giveaway will close and a winner will be announced at 12 p.m. PST next Friday, August 6. Entrants only in the US and Canada this time, please!

UPDATE: THE WINNER!

The randomly chosen winner is MEG, who says that "My last meal dessert would have to be the biggest peanut butter cup in the world." Well chosen, Meg! Congratulations!

An entire chocolate mint pie from the Norske Nook in Osseo, WI. Or maybe the lemon meringue... http://www.forkfulofnews.com/?p=4933

Aside from having a sampler platter of desserts.... I supposed I would want apple crisp (with lots of crisp) and coffee-oreo ice cream.

peanut butter pie!

Since our family are missionaries in Costa Rica and the cakes there are extremely dry for the most part, with the exception of course of tres leche, I would ask to be flown back to the States for a slice of chocolate cake with a layer of caramel in between and a rich chocolate butter cream frosting!

hmm thats a tough one. so many choices. I guess if I had to choose today it'd be a really good red velvet cake

A giant cookie cake with ice cream. Mmm!

OMG yes. While I would love a tiramisu, I'd have to go with an Expresso Oreo Chocolate Cheesecake (had that in a coffee shop near a university a friend went to. Damn, I could go there just for that alone).

My last DESSERT would be flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. The Whole Thing, baby.

It would be a good old-fashioned chocolate chip cookie. Nice and warm and gooey. YUM.

I don't even know if I could choose!

But it would have to be a lemon pudding trifle my mom makes with strawberries and nilla wafer crumbs! So delicious!

Homemade carrot cake with cream cheese frosting....no nuts, no raisins, fresh grown carrots from the garden...nothin' better...except for PW's chocolate sheet cake...can I have that on the side??? !!

if it were my last dessert, the perfect piece of tiramisu <3

My Last meal dessert would have to be my aunts Watergate salad. All it is pistachio pudding, cool whip and pineapple. Some people put nuts in it but I don't like them so she leaves them out because of me. It is so simple but yet so good.

Rich, creamy cheesecake!

Two slices of chilled pumpkin pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a hefty portion of whipped cream. I'd also polish it off with an ice cold glass of milk.

Wow...what a question, but if I had to choose just one, I think it would have to be a fruit tart with some amazing pastry creme and any combination of fruit. Mouth is watering just thinking about it!

July 31 | Unregistered Commentermurrgirl

omg..my brain explodes just trying to think of the answer to this question! Um...um...possibly the richest, most chocolaty cake ever, with a huge scoop of locally made lavender ice cream on top. We have an ice cream shop here that makes all their own ice cream and sorbets, and every year the make a lavender ice cream with local lavender to die for. Screamin Mimi's FTW. :D

July 31 | Unregistered CommenterKat

It would be a huge slice of lemon cream cheese poundcake with drizzled lemon glaze with a heaping scoop of Breyers lactose-free vanilla ice cream! Delish!
