March 25 | Unregistered Commenterbruleeblog

1. I confess I've never had bacon in cupcakes or anything. I've seen plenty of recipes but the thought gags me. But I recently baked macaroni with bacon in it. So that's technically a baked good. So my answer is technically "so good"

2. Nay - I don't use *any* mixes unless I literally have no time to make a cake from scratch.

3. I've never had it. Do I live under a rock?

4. Well I say there's always room for more, since where I live there are none!

5. delight!

6. I think it's a good idea, but not always worth the wait if I want cookies right away.

7. sounds yum, but I've never had one

8. Were they ever NOT cool?

March 25 | Unregistered CommenterKelly

5. delicate delight, yum

6. worth the wait

7. yuck

8. absolutely!

March 25 | Unregistered Commenterrubyjubilee

1. Bacon in baked goods: so good or so over? So over! I'm tired of hearing about bacon.

2. "Designer" cake and baking mixes (for instance, those made by celebrity chefs or famous bakeries)--yay or nay? Nay. Match from scratch.

3. Salted caramel: totally sweet or way too...salty? Totally sweet!! That stuff is AWESOME!

4. Cupcake shops opening everywhere: enough is enough, or room for more? Enough is enough. They're cool but when you can make your own at home for 1/10th of the price....

5. French macarons: delicate delight, or way overhyped? Delicate delight...especially because they're hard to find around where I live.

6. Chilling dough for perfect cookies: is it worth the wait? Sometimes....depends on the cookie.

7. Savory cupcakes (for instance, meat loaf cupcake with mashed potato frosting): yum or yuck? Hmmm...never seen that, sounds enticing.

8. Whoopie pies as the next big thing: do you agree? Ahhh, no...maybe...a retro throwback kind of thing I guess.

March 25 | Unregistered CommenterBear Silber

1. So good...even though I haven't tasted it yet.

2. Nay

3. Sweet!

4. Room for more, especially in the south.

5. Way overhyped.

7. Yum, but I must be warned.

6. not worth the wait!
7. yuck. i think.
8. i don't know about that.

# Bacon in baked goods: so good or so over? Over. People are not wanting to buy bacon, which isn't usually cheap, just to play around with it.

# "Designer" cake and baking mixes (for instance, those made by celebrity chefs or famous bakeries)--yay or nay? Nay. cake mix is just a mix, no matter the name on the box. learn to make it from scratch, it's really easy!

# Salted caramel: totally sweet or way too...salty? Can't say I like caramel of any kind, but that's just me.

# Cupcake shops opening everywhere: enough is enough, or room for more? Let's not oversaturate the market, but support your local shop that's there already.

# French macarons: delicate delight, or way overhyped? delicate delight, but they can go stale so quickly.

# Chilling dough for perfect cookies: is it worth the wait? Yes, especially if you live in a humid area like Seattle. It just shapes better.

# Savory cupcakes (for instance, meat loaf cupcake with mashed potato frosting): yum or yuck? Eh, yuck, More like a silly waste of time. If I want dessert, it's gonna be dessert!

# Whoopie pies as the next big thing: do you agree? I have to say, is this a regional thing? What's a whoopie pie?
