Gosh...I couldn't think of anything but Julie & Julia (love the whole movie) until I read the comments. Ditto on Chocolat and Willie Wonka! How about "I'll have what she's having" from When Harry Met Sally?
Audrey Hepburn walking down the streets of New York City in the early morning with a coffee and danish as Holly Golightly in "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
I love the scene from "Hook" where they are all eating imaginary food and it suddenly becomes visible when they start to believe.

I have a vivid memory of the moment in "Big Night" where they bring out the much anticipated - Timpano. This dish is still a mystery to me but I am ready and willing to try it! What an incredible film - you salivated from the beginning to the end in this film. It's not a sweet moment, per se, but it really is.
And of course, who could forget the moment in "European Vacation" where Audrey daydreams that she's inhaling mountains of desserts.
I am at this very second watching Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs with my 6 year old son. I love every scene in this movie...LOL
First came to mind the food scenes in "Defending Your Life" (another Meryl Streep movie) especially the one where they are eating shrimp and pasta alfredo...
Second the food preparation in "Like Water for Chocolate" was amazing.
Third the hot chocolate in "Chocolat"
Just about anything from Julie and Julia. I learned the hard way to eat before I see the movie. And because my first name is Julia and I make gourmet meals.
I love in Mulan when Mushu makes her happy a smiley face with bacon and eggs for breakfast :)
I love the movie Bella Martha (Mostly Martha... remade with Catherine Zeta Jones and Aaron Eckhart) and the scene when Martha must figure out which ingredients are in the sauce. Oooh, so good!
In "the Mirror Has Two Faces" with Barbara Streisand, there is a scene where her character puts a little of everything from her plate on her fork to get the 'perfect bite'. i so relate to this and it is my all-time favorite food scene.
I'm going to go a little gross here, but I like the scene in Lost Boys where Michael looks down and his rice isn't rice any more... lol. Made me nervous to order Chinese food for EVER! If we want to stay nice, though, I love all the cupcakes and sweets in Marie Antoinette (with Kirsten Dunst) All off the beautiful food and the clothes... it's really just my fantasy life!
It's not for lack of originality but I absolutely adore when Ana bakes Harold chocolate chip cookies..
It is as the classic chocolate chip cookie, tooth achingly sweet. Makes my heart smile.
oopsies.. THat is to say "Stranger than Fiction".. confection perfection!
of course it's meg ryan in the cafeteria in Harry Meets Sally.
Since I'm in the Christmas mood I'd have to say the kitty litter jello in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Soooo funny!
i feel like it's cheating to pick julie & julia but it really is my favorite--all the feeling that goes into cooking--the joy and frustration and despair, and then how wonderful it is to make something wonderful!
i think my other favorite is the "Toot Sweets" song from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the candy factory--love it!
One of my favorite scenes is from Benny & Joon. The one of Johnny Depp putting rolls on forks and making them dance :)
At first I thought of the various yummy scenes from Julie & Julia (a movie which I LOVE!) but then I thought back to my all time favorite food in a movie: the huge layered cake made by the ferry-godmothers in Disney's Sleeping Beauty! Oh how that makes me feel so good! ( I know it wasn't real but I still love it!)
I loved the cooking scenea in Julie and Julia. Watching Meryl Streep do up that duck was something else.
The food scenes in Harry Potter movies are great! I love the magical candy as well as the feasts in the Great Hall. Love it!

What kid does not grow up liking MARSHMALLOWS! In cereal, in hot chocolate, roasting in the fire, or just eating it out of the bag...which brings me to the movie Ghostbusters with the memorable Stay Puft Marshmallow Man! Use to imagine how fun it would be to have a city with globs of marshmallows all over. Wouldn't mind it snowing marshmallows right now actually :)
I am old enough to remember the eating scene in Tom Jones...how scandalous!
Julie and Julia: I'm a seafood junkie so when Julie/Julia makes lobsters that just gets me going. Top it off i die laughing when Julia just cracks open the lobster in front without blinking an eye and those men with their mouths open.
After reading all these posts, there are just so many to remember. My favorite would have to be Meryl Streep in Silkwood. As Karen Silkwood she tries to grab a bite off a co-worker's sandwich, but knowing Karen so well, the co-worker pulled the sandwich away. You just knew that Karen tried this on a regular basis because Meryl conveyed this so effortlessly (as she always does!).
That's easy. The amazing dinner Babette prepares in Babette's Feast is my favorite food scene in a movie. Watching her watching the diners enjoy the food she so generously and lovingly prepares is inspiring.
