I'd say baking. I like decorating as well, but the actual baking is more comforting.
Baking is for SURE the best part - licking the beaters and sneaking tastes of some of the ingredients as they go in...mmmmm, mmmmm.
I love to bake but I also love a beautiful finished product so I guess I'd have to say decorating.
I love the science and pure magic of baking. The transformation from water, salt, yeast and flour to bread is just your own little miracle-making. Once baked, decorating is time to get creative and let go!
oh my favorite part is the decorating!! But sometimes that can also be the most frustrating too.
Decorating because it involves my favorite part, the frosting!!
Definitely baking since my hands are not good enough at the decorating part.

I love the baking part, mostly because I'm still working on my decorating skills. And I just love that moment of watching all of the ingredients mix together in my Kitchen Aid!
The baking! I lose patience with the decorating...

Quality control testing during both phases is wonderful however if I could only choose one it would be the baking.
