CLOSED: Sweet Giveaway: Win a $100 Gift Card For CSN Stores!

We have Corelle to thank for this giveaway, friends.

Yup--you saw that dishware text link. For that, CSN Stores has kindly offered something that is of much interest to cake lovers and bakers: a $100 gift card good to be redeemed at any of their online stores! After reviewing the products available at their Cookware.com website, I find it worth the link, as all sorts of products of interest to bakers and baked-good enthusiasts are available there, including cake pans, cake plates, pastry molds, and my favorite Emile Henry Pie plates!

Want to be entered in the running? OK! Here's what you do: simply leave a comment on this post stating your opinion on this important baked-good subject: if you had to choose your "last meal" dessert, what would it be?

Chocolate cream pie? A banana split? Pop-tart ice cream sandwiches? An entire birthday cake? Inquiring minds need to know! This giveaway will close and a winner will be announced at 12 p.m. PST next Friday, August 6. Entrants only in the US and Canada this time, please!

UPDATE: THE WINNER!

The randomly chosen winner is MEG, who says that "My last meal dessert would have to be the biggest peanut butter cup in the world." Well chosen, Meg! Congratulations!

Such a hard decision! Either my grandma's red velvet cake or my moms coca cola cake. Then again a huge tub of banana pudding sounds pretty amazing too. I love my southern desserts :)

A "Last meal" dessert would have to consist of some sort of bread pudding based warm sundae with ice cream and fudge. and tons of brandy sauce (it is the LAST meal after all...)

Aside from the fact that I'm having a hard time picturing a situation in which I'd be enjoying a "last meal" . . . definitely chocolate and decadent, along the lines of the Godiva cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory.

Well, since it would be my LAST dessert...an entire coconut creme pie with a side of bruster's double chocolate chunk ice cream....served in a fresh waffle cone, of course! I think my hips just grew about 4 inches at just the thought.

Banana Pudding!! YUM!

Since I can't eat dairy without getting sick, my last meal would have to be a fat slice of cheesecake. I really miss a good cheesecake.

oh- tough decision... but I'll commit and go with chocolate decadence- flourless chocolate cake. In fact, I'm going to have to make it today

Tiramisu!

A piece of ductch apple pie with a crumble coating would be good enough for me.

July 31 | Unregistered CommenterTimeeka

My last dessert would definitely be something chocolatey and somehow involve peanut butter and ice cream. Maybe it would just BE chocolate peanut butter ice cream!

July 31 | Unregistered CommenterKirsten

A completely decadent 10 course dessert made by the most famous pastry chef in the world.

a mint chocolate cupcake from Elizabethan desserts...nom...nom...

Hands down fresh berry tart. !

Either tiramisu or key lime pie. They're both loves of mine, but I have no idea what I'd be in the mood for at my death. Something decadently creamy and rich or something tart?

Last meal dessert . . . hmm, I think it would have to be one of the hot fudge brownie sundaes you used to be able at Herrell's in Harvard Square with chocolate pudding ice cream, vanilla malt ice cream, some peanut butter flavor, butterfinger on top, and chocolate whipped cream. And, of course, a maraschino cherry.

I'd have to pick egg custard...it tastes like such an exquisite dessert, but it's so simple to make!
