CLOSED: Sweet Giveaway: Win a $100 Gift Card For CSN Stores!
We have Corelle to thank for this giveaway, friends.
Yup--you saw that dishware text link. For that, CSN Stores has kindly offered something that is of much interest to cake lovers and bakers: a $100 gift card good to be redeemed at any of their online stores! After reviewing the products available at their Cookware.com website, I find it worth the link, as all sorts of products of interest to bakers and baked-good enthusiasts are available there, including cake pans, cake plates, pastry molds, and my favorite Emile Henry Pie plates!
Want to be entered in the running? OK! Here's what you do: simply leave a comment on this post stating your opinion on this important baked-good subject: if you had to choose your "last meal" dessert, what would it be?
Chocolate cream pie? A banana split? Pop-tart ice cream sandwiches? An entire birthday cake? Inquiring minds need to know! This giveaway will close and a winner will be announced at 12 p.m. PST next Friday, August 6. Entrants only in the US and Canada this time, please!
UPDATE: THE WINNER!
The randomly chosen winner is MEG, who says that "My last meal dessert would have to be the biggest peanut butter cup in the world." Well chosen, Meg! Congratulations!

My last dessert would have to be a delicious cripsy and chewy white chocolate chunk cookie pizza with white chocolate frosting and chopped macadamia nuts sprinkled on top and maybe even some sliced peached on top. Yumm!

Oh goodness...I'd have to say caramel bars. Shortbread cookie crust, homemade caramel filling, and a layer of milk chocolate on top. YUMMMMM.
brownie sundae.
I'm with Tina, something dark chocolate, lots of ganache, definitely layers and it must be cold. Maybe a layer of mint in there too? And a side of dulce de leche for dipping the non mint part. :)
It would have to be Creme Brulee' or homemade ding dongs...
My "last meal" dessert would be a plate of gooey chocolate chip cookies and a big glass of milk!
The biggest, softest, chewiest, gooeyest, fresh-baked Chocolate Chip Cookie I could find! Nothing beats a purely simple, baked from scratch, innocently indulgent cookie!
Chocolate eclairs!
My grandmother's lemon meringue pie was always my dad's and my favorite dessert. We'd often make it together, and proceed to eat the whole thing ourselves since no one else in the house cared as much for it! I love the brightness of lemon desserts, and this recipe in particular brings back fond childhood memories. Ergo my answer: a creamy, tangy lemon filling in a buttery, homemade graham cracker crust, all topped with piles of light and sinfully sweet meringue. Mmm...
Peanutbutter pie with whip topping...and a glass of sweet tea...
Preferably some kind of gigantic chocolate cake with mousse layers and tons of delicious chocolate AND vanilla frosting.
A big bowl of the most expensive mint chocolate chip ice cream in the universe. :)
A homemade chocolate whoopie pie with a fluffy whipped frosting! YUM!
Chocolate chip pound cake with buttercream frosting...yummmmm.
This once, many years ago, at a restaurant now consigned to the ages, I had a cherry cola panna cotta. I could die happy eating that again.
A really chewy brownie (with ice cream on top :) )
I'd have to say a slice of Boston Cream Pie with strawberries on top.
Strawberry Pie for sure! It's pie crust filled with vanilla pudding and topped with fresh strawberries covered in a sugar glaze, yum!
Hershey's chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and raspberries!
Citrus creme brulee, most def.
molten chocolate cake with ice cream
dark chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter filling and cream cheese/peanut butter icing... and a large glass of milk!
a warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream. mmmmmm
I've always loved my friends Baklava "Pops" as she calls them, phillo dough wrapped around little pockets of honey and nuts (normally cashews, almonds, and walnuts) with a sprinkling of rose water and cinnamon. Than carefully folded up with honey until the end were she just uses water to seal it.. Bakes :) and than drips on corner of these already insanely-bad-for-you treats in a dark chocolate. Sprinkle with icing sugar. Yup, i could die happy if i had them.
Saddly, she passed away in a car accident and didnt write down the whole recipe, im still trying to figure it out :(
