Cake Poll: Unusual Cupcake Flavors, and a Chance to Win a $50 Gift Certificate to Sweet Cuppin Cakes!

Sweet Cuppin Cakes Giveaway!
It's time for a totally sweet giveaway, dudes and dudettes.

Sweet Cuppin Cakes Bakery & Cupcakery Supplies has kindly offered up a $50 gift certificate to one lucky winner! I'm sure you'll have no trouble putting it to good use on cute cupcake and baking accessories: they've got some fantastic cupcake liners, sprinkles and other garnishes, and display items too!

How do you put yourself in the running? It's easy. Just answer the following question:

What is the most unusual cupcake flavor you've ever tasted?

Maple bacon? Chai cardamom? Bananas foster? There are all sorts of unusual cupcake flavor combinations out there--have you sampled any of them? Or if you haven't sampled any unusual flavors, are there any you've wanted to try?

You can enter yourself in the running for a $50 gift certificate to Sweet Cuppin Cakes by entering your response to the above question in the comments section below; you might want to browse their shop in the meantime! The cake poll will close at 12 p.m. PST on Friday, November 13, 2009. Good luck!

I don't know if this is that unusual, but I've had an amazing Margarita cupcake.

That maple bacon cupcake sounds delicious! I'll have to keep my eye out...

Thai curry.

Definitely a brown butter pancetta cupcake with cherry filling and brown sugar sour cream icing. Sweet & savory

Guinness cupcake! I was craving chocolate but this was all they had. I am not a fan of Guinness but the cupcake was surprisingly delicious!

Green tea cupcake with red bean frosting in Japan! Nom nom nom.... So yummy...

Also saw some weird stuff that I was too afraid to try, like Sea Urchin Icecream. Blegh.

most unusual i've tried is not that unusual- guiness and chocolate with bailey's cream cheese frosting.

though one time i tried to make strawberry limeade cupcakes! they were unusual in that they were disgusting. must always double check to see if a recipe is from a vegan blog.

We don't have cupcakes sold where I live, so I only eat what I bake, but the most weird ones I made were chocolate with zucchini. I would like to try carrot cupcakes!

I've never had any unusual cupcake flavors! I did recently make nutmeg muffins, however, but that's not very unusual at all, nor is it a cupcake.

I made chocolate chai cupcakes last year. They turned out great, but were definitely the most unusual cupcake flavor I've had.

Hmm I'm pretty old fashion when it comes to my cake flavors, but the southern girl in me would love to try a maple bacon cupcake. I mean BACON makes everything better right???

I made pine nut cupcakes with basil frosting once, they were good!

I keep seeing all these cupcakes with bacon popping up, I'd love to try one! I'm too chicken to make that one myself, I'd never hear the end of it if it was a dud!

Maple Bacon intrigues me... I've never gotten too weird with cupcakes though... this saddens me :-)

I've made parmesan chive popovers, which is kind of like a cupcake - and delicious, but I would like to try a Shirley Temple flavored cupcake - sprite in the cake batter and grenadine flavored frosting!
