As much as I love getting all the ingredients together, decorating is the fun part. So many sprinkles, frosting and candles possibilities!

the best part for me is the mixing and measuring. it's such a calming process. :)

No question BAKING. I hate to decorate cakes.

Decorating. I love making things look pretty. :)

Definitely the baking!! For as long as I've been baking, I am still amazed that when you mix simple ingredients they come together to make something so amazing!! and also if you mix the ingredients in different ways you get different results. It's my own personal science lab LOL I've always been a science geek with a sweet tooth hee hee

definitely decorating! especially the moment before you begin, and the moment you stand back to take it all in once you've finished.

Hm, hard to say. Baking is fun - otherwise I would not be doing it. Decorating is fun, too. I still would say decorating ... because you get to see the result pretty much immidiately (well, mostly anyways) ... with the baking you have to wait while the whole thing's in the oven .... and wonder how it will turn out ... :-)

For me, it's the baking. It calms me, and then my inner perfectionist (whom I rarely see!) comes out when I decorate. It can get pretty ugly (not the decorations, but being around me when I'm decorating!).

I'd have to say decorating. It's like icing on the cake! ;)

Baking hands down! Sure when you decorate you can make it look pretty, but its when you bake that you can sneak tastes of the batter!

eating it!! but seriously measuring and mixing is my favorite part.

I would have to say the baking. The decorating is usually decided by someone else and tends to be a little stressful.

A very tough call...my favourite thing is the mix between the two...I love to make the decorations match the flavour Even something simple like a fresh strawberry on a strawberry cupcake looks divine and hints at how yummy the cake is going to be.

Hands down, baking. Then I get to lick the bowl. I hate decorating it b/c I am way too impatient to make it look good. :)

Baking, without a doubt!

Decorating! I love decorating the most because there's so many different mediums- frosting, marzipan, fondant, etc. I love to get creative :)

I love to decorate a cake with my two kids: it'a such a nice experience!

October 9 | Unregistered CommenterIlaria Benedetti

I heart baking. I'm not very good at decorating and therefore do not enjoy it.

I would have to say decorating. I just got out of the Marines after 8 year and am now a SAHW. Decorating has brought my imagination back. I did my first cake for my own wedding and had a blast doing it! We just bought our first house and I now have a big kitchen to have fun in and I can't wait to expand my supplies and make some goodies for Halloween!

I love the decorating--especially when I do not have a particular vision in mind and just go with it and see what I can create!!

October 9 | Unregistered CommenterLisa

The best part of the whole process is seeing my daughters lick the beaters, from the cake batter or the icing. I love to get their feedback on it all and it is very rewarding when they love it.

Either has it's high and low points but it's all about licking the bowl for me. The key is the spatula... it gets in the grooves for optimal batter retrieval. Ha-ha

Baking! Because I'm absolutely horrid at decorating!

Also, eating it is fun too!

October 9 | Unregistered CommenterAshley

baking is more fun, but I am taking a decorating class, so decorating is becoming more fun.

October 9 | Unregistered CommenterHeather

Baking is the most fun for me, sometimes decorating just gets in the way of eating. But perhaps if I had some nifty new decorating supplies I would change my mind!
