Cake Poll: Oops, Make that a Cookie Poll!
It's that unique time of year that summer starts to fade into early fall; the skies are a piercing blue, days are getting shorter, and school's back in session. Even those who are long out of school are not impervious to the allure of this season, nostalgically recalling the excitement newness of a new school year, punctuated by freshly sharpened pencils and maybe a brand new trapper keeper. And what else goes better with back to school time than milk and cookies at the end of the day?
- What is your favorite type of cookie?
- Oatmeal Cookies: With raisins, or chocolate chips?
- Dunking your cookies: Deliciousness, or a soggy mess?
- Slice n' bake cookies: Guilty pleasure, or never ever?
- Jumbo bakery cookies: too much, or just enough?
- Bar cookies: are they really cookies, or a different category entirely?
- Which is better: Slightly underbaked or slightly overbaked?
- Eating cookie dough: so wrong, or so right?
The fine print: The poll will be closed at 2 p.m PST on Thursday, September 4 (we're leaving it open for a week since we hope many of you are avoiding your computers over the holiday weekend!). As usual, the winner will be chosen at random. Entries from the US and beyond are welcome. Your info will never be shared and these questions are solely motivated by our nosy spy tendencies. Of course, if you don't win, you can always buy Cakespy artwork and gear at jessieoleson.etsy.com!

1. Sugar cookies and coconut butter drops.
2. I prefer just plain oatmeal, but I can deal with chocolate or whit chocolate chips.
3. I wouldn't mind dunking in a cup of icing. Yum!
4. They are definitely an instant gratification.
5. They don't have a consistent texture, they are usually crispy on the ouside and soft on the inside. Not my thing.
6. They are totally cookies.
7. Slightly underbaked.
8. I will only eat chocolate or vanilla sugar cookie dough. Not chocolate chip.
1.) Coco Loco from the Mustard Seed in Akron, Ohio (Oatmeal with chocolate chips, coconut & walnuts)
2.) Chocolate chips
3.) Soggy Mess! And, I'm lactose-intolerant so they usually don't go with my tea anyway
4.) Never Ever! One of my co-workers told us a story about how her husband ate an entire batch of the "Halloween Bat" tube cookies and panicked when he discovered it dyed his poo. Been disgusted ever since!
5.) Cookie BLISS!
6.) A different category entirely.
7.)Slightly overbaked...a little crispy makes the world all right!
8.) Eating cookie dough is so right even though mom said we would get salmonella and die. LIES, I tell you!
1. What is your favorite type of cookie?
Thin Mints
2. Oatmeal Cookies: With raisins, or chocolate chips?
Either! My favorite ever are made with chocolate chips, pecans, cranberries, and dried apples, from Joan's on Third in LA.
3. Dunking your cookies: Deliciousness, or a soggy mess?
Depends on the cookie. Oreos must be dunked.
4. Slice n' bake cookies: Guilty pleasure, or never ever?
Never ever, unless it's just the raw dough, in which case, a very rare guilty pleasure.
5. Jumbo bakery cookies: too much, or just enough?
Too much!
6. Bar cookies: are they really cookies, or a different category entirely?
Different category entirely.
7. Which is better: Slightly underbaked or slightly overbaked?
Slightly underbaked.
8. Eating cookie dough: so wrong, or so right?
So, so right.
1. Snickerdoodles
2. With chocolate chips
3. Soggy mess
4. Never ever
5. Just enough
6. Different category, but still yummy
7. Slightly underbaked

Such a great print. Thanks for the chance to win it! Here the way my cookie crumbles...;)
1. Favourite cookie; If I have to choose just one kind it would be anything homemade. Still to vague, sorry too many delicious ones out there.
2. Ooooh, definitely raisins in my oatmeal cookies. the chewier the better.
3. To dunk or not to dunk; depends on what it's being dunk into and what is being dunked. But crunchy cookies are best with a swim in milk or tea.
4. I must admit that my husband loves those holiday slice n' bake sugar cookies, so they are a special treat only.
5. The more cookie the better so jumbos all the way.
6. Bar cookies are a special category all unto their own... namely quick and easy and let's get something baked fast so I can enjoy it right away.
7. Underbaked is better as I like 'em soft and chewy opposed to hard and crunchy. See #3 if overbaked.
8. My husband would say eating cookie dough is a must for every batch. But then again he doesn't know when sampling ends and gorging starts. But a little nibble is a necessity to be sure it's just right.
Thanks again for the fun. I look forward to your updates and can't get enough of Cuppie and the Cakespy team adventures.
