Sweet Giveaway: Win a Copy of You Are My Cupcake By Joyce Wan!

FACT: You could use some more cuteness in your life. But how? Answer: a copy of You Are My Cupcake , the adorable new book by Joyce Wan, which focuses on terms of endearment, delivered with a ton of cute illustrations.

And--lucky you--Joyce has offered up three copies to give away on this very site! Like, OMG!

How do you enter to win? It's like, so easy. Simply confess the cutest pet name you use for your partner (or your pup, or kitty, or sister, whatever) in the comments section below, or on the CakeSpy Facebook page. It doesn't have to be pastry-related (but you know that we'll probably enjoy those ones best).

Three winners (US only this time, please!) will be chosen at random on next Friday, August 5; the winners will be contacted and announced once they have been confirmed.

Good luck!

I must confess I have several nicknames for my husband - he's Armenian and we speak his language at home but I'll translate them for y'all. :)

Sweety (what nickname could be sweeter than this?)

Cutey

and my personal fav

Porcupine (when his 5 o'clock shadow is out)

:)
I call my daughter "Pookie"
I'm not sure how it came about but I call my husband "schnoodle-pop" LOL!
Well, my husband calls me "Squishy" from my love of Finding Nemo. He would probably poohpooh me posting what I call him here. =)

I call my boyfriend "meine kleine Erdferkel," which in German means, "my little aardvark." He has a big nose! :D
I don't call anyone else pet names but my family calls me roo-bear (which can be abbreviated to just roo).

Another favorite pet name is one for my toy poodle, whose name is rex, but for some odd reason our nickname for him is Timco Barton. I have no idea where that one came from!

My husband calls me Pikachu or muffin. I apparently look like a fuzzy japanese critter. I can not repeat his nickname on such a family friendly website :-p

My man and I are notoriously squishy and adorable. "honeypot" and its partner "bumbumblebee" (yes there is an intentional "bumbum" in there) probably take the cake.

i call one of my workmates (with whom i am close...it's not harassment then, right?) puddin' pop.

I call my baby "Roo" ;)

I call my boo "Steve-a-saurus" or "Gramps" (he's 2.5 years older than me), and he calls me "Tootz" (his spelling!) :) Not sweets related, but definitely silly!

I call my boys (even though they are in high school now) my sweetie sweets, my mookie boys or my boogie boogsters, depending on my mood and their behavior. I call our doggie, whose real name is Chico, our magic monkey dog because I believe he has super shapeshifter powers - when he stands up at the kitchen screen door to look out, he looks like a plucked turkey; when he goes on walks, he looks like a prancing pony; when he is curled up in his bed, he looks like a bird; when he sits, he looks like a monkey; and when he puts his nose to the ground and goes sniffing, he looks like a pig. And that's just when we're looking...I think he changes into whatever he wants when we're not paying attention and goes adventuring.

My bf is muffin most of time, but I can't help but call him what his mom does when we're around her. He'll always be her strudel :)

I"m not entirely sure how we came up with these, but my best friend and I call each other "Jambalaya" and "Jujubee". And my friends and family have always favored "Tu", "Tutu", or "Tooty Booty" for me...

Kokilee which means "elephant" in Korean. Long story but there's this Korean restaurant that we like called that and elephants never forget!

Let's see...
My daughter when she was born was born premature. But had quite the personality. She was a goober but was too little to be called goober - so I shortened it to Goo. :)

My son's name is Logan and he's "Logan Berry"

My Dog's name is foxy but she licks a lot so we call her "Licky Licky" - in fact now all dogs are Licky Lickies to my kids lol.

We have two cats, one of whom has more nicknames than lives: Boo, Bugaboo, Bubs, Cow Kitty (as he's black and white), Bear (since he's 22lbs), Horse (since he eats like one)...the list goes on!

Our other, smaller cat has some great nicknames, too: Little Man, Pocket Cat and Cat Nugget.

And then there's our beautiful 6 month old daughter, Ellie, who we've come to lovingly call Bean (Jelly Bean = Ellie Bean = Bean).

We're quite the family!

I call my son my "cuddly wuddly" becuase he is my little teddy bear.
July 28 | Unregistered CommenterJamie
I call my ferret tubbers (because he's enjoyed one too many treats since we got him)
July 28 | Unregistered CommenterCassykins
I call my little sister "Little One". She's 17 and taller than me, but it's stuck in spite of all that.
July 28 | Unregistered CommenterJanelle
We call our daughter Dharma Dew. When I was pregnant with her a family friend asked if I looked like I had a watermelon, and we decided it looked more like a honey dew melon at the time, so we started calling her Dharma dew melon and it kind of stuck lol.

I sometimes refer to my husband as "dr. mendelblatt"

I call my BFF "Sweet Pea"
