Buy My Book! And a Giveaway Too

Dudes and dudettes. You knew this day was coming, and now it is here.

My book is now out--it is in stores, and available online. If I do say so myself, it is a masterpiece of cookbookery, and if you don't trust me, then trust my mom, because she agrees (and she has promised to buy at least three copies at full retail price, although she hasn't paid me yet).

But I digress. Basically what I am saying here is: My book is out, and therefore, It Is Time for You to Buy My Book.

How to buy it? You can purchase a signed copy directly from me here; you can purchase a regular (unsigned) copy from Amazon (be sure to give it a glowing review!) , Barnes and Noble, Elliott Bay Books, Powell's Books, or find a local bookseller here. OR, I find it acceptable to wait if you'd like to buy one from me on my national bakery book tour, Tour De Sweet!

But because you've been so patient, I'm willing to give away one copy of the book per week for the next four weeks. Wow, lucky you!

How do you put yourself in the running this week? Since it's October and officially Halloween Month, simply leave a comment on this post or on my Facebook page answering this important question: Candy Corn or Mellowcreme Pumpkins? And Why? I'll pick one lucky winner one week from today (10/13) and send them a signed copy of the book! Because I'm feeling generous, this giveaway is open to the US and abroad!

The pumpkins, of course! I actually don't care for candy corn at all, but the pumpkins are so cute, I can't resist eating them anyways. Congrats on your book, I am SO excited to see it!

OK, I've got to go with the pumpkins, though I've never tasted them. They have to be better than candy corn, which I ate too much of with disastrous results many, many Halloweens ago.

candycorn!! :D

I never knew that those pumpkins had a name and have always just kind of called them the pumpkin shaped candy corn. I like them both but I think I like the candy corn slightly more.

Candy corn. I have a system for eating them that involves biting the little white tips off first.

this looks wonderful! I am coming to one of your book signings! I am a huge fan!

No contest. Mellowcreme pumpkins. I can't be thinking of vegetables like corn when I'm getting my candy action on. Okay, technically, corn is a grain, but don't tell me you think of it that way when it ends up on your plate. Pumpkin, on the other hand, may have a vegetable mannerism about it, but it gets a pass because it reminds me of Thanksgiving.

Candy corn is definitely prettier, but I like the texture of the pumpkins better.

Mellowcreme pumpkins. Why?

Just look at them! :D

I'm still sad I missed your big birthday when I was in Seattle. Happy belated!

Mellowcreme Pumpkins (because I'm one of those weird people who thinks candy corn is weird - don't hate me!)

I have never heard of Mellowcreme Pumpkins but they sound deliscious. Candy Corn just feels like fall and Halloween and I don't remember a time when there was no Candy Corn :)

"Candy corns, the pumpkins are too much of a good thing," so says Jim who once also said, "candy corns, I can't stay mad at you."

I feel like I'm in the minority--I don't like either one. When it comes to candy, I have always been a chocolate person.

Candy corn. Of course. You just can't find that flavor anywhere... When Bath and Body works came out with their Candycorn handy bac, I'm pretty sure I bought 3, backups were definitely needed. <3 Congrats on the book !!

mellowcream pumpkins! i love the ridiculous, sugary burst you get from them.

Candy Corn! Why? There is just something about the orange, yellow and white candy that makes me smile. I'm always looking for new ways to add it to my life. Last year I found earrings that look like real candy corn and made a vodka infused with them...this year we shall see....if all else fails I will just sit and eat the whole bag with a smile on my face! :)

mellowcreme pumpkins all the way!!

Mellowcreme pumpkins. I can eat my weight in them!

Candy corn! One of the "purest" forms of sugar...goes straight to your blood!

Candy corn!!! :D

Pumpkins for me. Candy corn would just sit at my house and so the pumpkins would be a little softer and seem extra-sugary. And the shape just makes them more Halloweeny!

Congrats on the book!

I love them both, but the candy corn brings back lots of memories from when I was a kid. My grandpa used to give my little sisters and I a dollar each for sweets, and the candy was 1 cent per piece, so I always went for the candy corn and gum.

Candy corn! I've never had a mellowcreme pumpkin...but many, many candy corn(s?)!
