CLOSED: Sweet Giveaway: Win a Love n Bake Sampler Pack!
Free stuff is the best--especially when it's sweet and delicious and when it has the potential to make you very, very, happily, fat.
This is all to say: how about a giveaway? Love n Bake, a manufacturer of what I can attest are completely delicious fillings for baking, has kindly offered a sampler pack of some of their most popular products for one lucky winner! It consists of a can each of almond filling, chocolate "schmear" filling (which one would use to make Blackout Crumb bars!), hazelnut praline filling, and almond paste.
So, first things first. This giveaway is only open in the US--but other than that, entry is open! How do you get yourself in the running? Simply leave a comment letting me know what baking project you'd try first with these sweet fillings (don't worry, you won't be judged on originality--this is just to satisfy this spy's curiosity. Oh, and if you need ideas, get some on the Love n Bake blog). The giveway will close next Friday, June 25, at 12 pm PST, and a winner will be announced shortly thereafter.
So here goes: What sweet recipe would these fillings inspire you to try?
Update: the winner! We have a winner! Katie, who is going to put her prize to good use: "I would use the chocolate on mini chocolate chip cheesecake bites." Nom! Find Katie online here.

I'd whip up a multi-layer ginger cake with almond buttercream frosting!
I'd make a variety of filled cupcakes and try every flavor!! My mouth waters thinking about it....
I think an assortment of layer bars is definately the way to go with those fillings - yum!!
Perhaps some chocolate and/or hazelnut rugelach?
I think I would make almond cream crepes with a drizzle of chocolate of course! or even brownies with an almond layer in the middle...so many choices!
I love love love almond croissants, so I would try to make some at home with that almond paste. Yum!
I'd like to spread some of the Hazelnut Praline on top of a cake donut!
I'm thinking of Dark chocolated cupcakes (made with Valhonra chocolate) pipping in the Hazelnut Praline and topping it off with chocolate ganache frosting and a pretty royal icing pansy flower.
I would make some pignoli cookies with the almond paste.
I would make some almond cookies or a Neapolitan cake with the almond paste.
How about a light flakey breakfast pastry with the Almond filling!
I would make my grandma's rugelach recipe! :)
Definitely layer bars, but I might also have to experiment with chocolate or hazelnut praline rugelach.
Schmear the almond paste in the bottom of a pie!
I would make pinwheels of puff pastry and the hazelnut praline filling... YUM!
Where to start? I'd make crepes and fill one with each.
After all of the articles that I have read on macaroons, I would really love to have the almond paste.
I think my recipe would involve cupcakes!
Are you kidding me? I'd make chocolate hazelnut filled cinnamon buns and eat them for breakfast every day!
I love LOVE love pignoli cookies with almond paste and pine nuts, so I would have to do that first.
Two things:
1) Bread Puddings! I would love to do some kooky bread pudding flavors/swirls... hazelnut and rum? Pear almond? Possibiliites = endless.
2) FROSTING!
I'd use the chocolate or even the almond to make some pastelillos. I'd "shmear" it between layers of puff pastry then sprinkle with some powdered sugar. Yummy,
I would try to make a kringle with the almond filling! YUMMY!!!
I would definitely try the strawberry sponge first. That looks like I could eat the whole thing myself. Thanks for the chance. This product looks delicious.
