Cake Poll: Baking Vs. Eating Preferences

It's July, and high time for a sweet giveaway! This time, Carolyn's Kitchen, a very cool company which designs retro-inspired aprons and kitchen accessories, has kindly donated one of their fashionable aqua cupcake aprons (retail value $42!) for the giveaway. I hope I don't need to tell you that this is a totally awesome prize.
How do you put your name in the running? It's easy. Just satisfy my curiosity about sweet preferences. Is what you like to bake the same as what you like to eat? Or are they different? Just answer the following in the comments section below and you'll be entered in the running!

Pie and pie! Specifically fruit pies. Even more specifically peach pie or blueberry pie. I love to prepare the crust - I mix it all with my hands and get flour, butter and shortening all over the handles of my kitchen drawers. Or my fiance has to stand by to open drawers and hand me implements (I always forget to set something out ahead of time). I love rolling out the crust carefully. And I LOVE smelling the pie baking. After I bake a pie, my hair smells like delicious pie for the rest of the day. And I love eating and sharing a home made pie.
I love to bake and decorate cookies.
While I also like to eat them, I love to eat cheesecake. Its just so good! :)
I love to bake pies and cookies. I make so many of each during the holidays. I look foward to it every year. My favorite dessert to eat is anything chocolate or anything with lemon as the main flavor. Amanda Penhale

I love to make cupcakes with my son, we love experimenting with new flavors and by adding in new ingredients. They dont alway work but we always have fun making them.
I LOVE and I mean love a grat key lime pie. When it is not overy food colored or sweet. Tart and fresh. Yummmy my favorite. (I am trying to find a great recipie for a key lime cupcake :)
(PS- my mother lives in the US so I guess I am entering for her. Does that count?)
To make: chocolate chip cookies. Especially with kids. Nephews, random neighbor kids they all love the chocolate.
To eat: anything fruity. Lately it's been blackberry grunts. Ooh and fresh cherry crumble. Mmmmmmm.
my favorite to bake is cookies. they are so easy to make and easy to take places to give away.
my favorite to eat is cake, or cupcakes. i think that's just because i don't like to bake cakes that much- too much hassle- the cake might fall, you have to wait to frost it... no such hassles with cookies!

My favorite baked good to make is whatever dessert has been requested by friends or family for their special occasion. I love seeing how delighted they are.
My favorite baked good to eat is my Aunt Blanche's stovetop chocolate peanut butter oatmeal cookie. It's so simple but packed with chocolate peanut-buttery yumminess.

-Right now it's been Shirely Corriher's Serious Rum Cake. You can't go wrong baking with booze!
Plus I have this rad old orange NordicWare bundt pan I found off of eBay from the 70's (I think).

-French macaroons! It's the sweet crust, the chewy inside, the pop of the filling. nom nom nom. Someday I will make them for myself but for now I love Honore's and Bakery Nouveau's!

fav dessert eats is.....i haven't met a dessert i didn't like...lol. but i'm pretty partial to creme brulee. yum!!!
TO MAKE: blueberry pie is my all time favourite, but i enjoy making divinity and pfeffernusse at christmas time. :)
TO EAT: my favourite baked good is a croissant, but my favourite desert is either fruit and cream or lemon bars... it's tough to choose!

My favorite baked good to eat would be tied...I LOVE a good bagel but I also LOVE any kind of layer cake (with the exception of german chocolate).
My favorite thing to bake is also a layer cake. To me it's a glorious mix of baking, cooking, art and craft.
I usually bake things that I love to eat (i.e. key lime pie) and sometimes I bake things that I'd like to try (i.e. bacon cupcakes).

I love to eat the cookies I bake more than anything else. Not a huge fan of pies but I will make them for my family.
I like to bake things my kids will eat, especially my teenage son, who needs good calories, and lots. But I love to eat sickeningly yummy chocolate cakes and other disasters he doesn't love. So it's better for all of us to bake healty, but yummy stuff that won't tempt momma's diet!
I looove to eat chocolate creme brulee but I like to bake cupcakes. Honestly, I love to eat everything I bake, but since the brulees aren't so frequent, perhaps this is why I love them best.

It so depends on my mood. Some days are cookie days, some days call for cupcakes. And I usually only bake what I'm in the mood for!
I love to bake pie... I like to crimp the edges in different ways, and decorate the tops, and experiment with fillings.
I would much rather eat strawberry-rhubarb crisp or chocolate cake. Maybe I should learn to love to make those desserts more!
I love to make yeast breads, cookies and cakes (it's not a baked good, but ice cream, too!), but my absolute favorite dessert to eat is bread pudding. Despite that I've never made one...maybe I ought to get on that!
I love to bake just about anything!! And although I love to eat it all too, I can't, so I end up giving most of my goodies away. Which is just as good as eating them myself. :D
My favorite lately to make are red velvet cake pops. The kids love them too, as well as all our friends. ;)
My standby is banana bread. I think my family purposely leaves 2-3 bananas to soften just becuase they know they won't go to waste!
I love to bake but I'm always looking for other people's parties for an excuse to do so! I stick to making cupcakes because I'm a sucker for sprinkles but boy do I love to eat a good real peach cobbler. Throw some fresh blueberries into that and it screams summer to me!
I love making cookies because I enjoy the assembly-line process of filling trays and switching them out, feeling very efficient, and making things that lots of people will be able to enjoy.
As for eating, I love anything that's fancy with puff pastry, particularly baklava.
