Cake Poll: Baking Vs. Eating Preferences

It's July, and high time for a sweet giveaway! This time, Carolyn's Kitchen, a very cool company which designs retro-inspired aprons and kitchen accessories, has kindly donated one of their fashionable aqua cupcake aprons (retail value $42!) for the giveaway. I hope I don't need to tell you that this is a totally awesome prize.

My favorite baked good to make is probably a toss up between cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies.
My favorite dessert to eat is tiramisu and any kind of fruit pie. Either is not one I make at home, but would like to learn to perfect someday down the road, but for now, I'll just be the taste tester of someone else's creations and enjoy it :)
My favorite to make is brownies... I love licking the bowl and eating extra batter! Same goes for cookie dough =)

My favorite dessert to make is birthday cakes, because I love whipping up buttercream, coloring it, and piping it onto the cake to make an artistic creation.

Lately I've really enjoyed making cupcakes, and I enjoy eating them too. But I probably enjoy eating fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies. I took the toll house recipe and tweaked it a bit and now they are even better!
I most like making sugar cookies and getting a chance to use my fun cookie cutters, but my favorite to eat is definitely cupcakes!
My favorite dessert to make is super simple: shortbread cookies. They're failsafe, I can add whatever I have in the kitchen, and everyone is always impressed (my boyfriend still has no idea how easy his favorite toasted coconut shortbread is to make). My favorite dessert to eat (besides anything chocolate, which I have developed an allergy to since I've hit my twenties and can no longer enjoy) is my mother's summer bread pudding, with fresh summer berries and bourbon baked right in, served warm from the oven with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. It's so delicious, I don't miss chocolate when I'm eating it, and it has completely replaced my old favorite dessert (warm chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream).

I've just recently gotten into baking and decorating cupcakes and I absolutely love it!! I'm always trying to customize recipes with my own signature. So far, my fav has got to be the white chocolate sour cream cupcakes w/ white chocolate cream cheese frosting...to bake and to eat!!

Pizza probably doesn't count so I'm going for crème brûlée as my favorite to make, favorite to eat and if I could bathe in it, it would get that vote too!

I love lemon bars. But, I don't like making them. I always have a hard time getting them out of the pan. My current favorite thing to make it trifle. I love the endless combinations.
I love to eat cookies, but don't usually have the patience to make them. I'd rather bake cakes or cupcakes.
I love to make scones, but I love to eat cookies more.
There is no difference for me. I like to bake and eat all sorts of treats. If I am craving something quick, then cookies fit the bill. Usually something basic like chocolate chip cookies or snickerdoodles. Otherwise, we are usually making cupcakes. For a splurge, cheesecake.
I love love love making cupcakes! And of course eating them too, but I love all kinds of desserts! :)

I love, love, love baking cakes for my friends, but will pick a good flan, pudding, or ice cream/sorbet over cake any day!
