Giveaway: Cupcake Royale Cupcake Mix Kit

UPDATE: THE WINNER! Giveaway has closed!

I have chosen a winner at random: Jasmine!

How does she eat a cupcake? Like so: "Oh dear! I love to rip off the top and eat them together that way."

Congratulations, Jasmine!

One of the things that I miss most about Seattle is the easy access to Cupcake Royale. This cupcake bakery, which opened just around the time I moved to Seattle, has really expanded over the years, adding location after location and then changing my entire life (for the better) when they debuted their ice cream line.

Over the eight years I lived in Seattle, I had a lot of good times at Cupcake Royale, from my birthday party to book signings to many a trip just to snack.

Yes, I miss Cupcake Royale. But I no longer have to cry every day I'm away from it, because now they are offering a cupcake mix! That's right: we can all have the Seattle cupcake experience, sans rain, with Cupcake Royale baking mix! It even comes with sprinkles.

I'm so excited about this new product launch that I'm offering a giveaway of a cupcake mix kit to one lucky reader!

How can you enter? It's easy. All you have to do is answer the below question in the comments. I'll choose a winner one week from today (10/17) and Cupcake Royale will send the mix out to whoever I choose at random. While you wait for me to choose a winner, if you feel like it, you can follow CCR on Twitter and Facebook, too (though not necessary for entry).

OK, here we go! Here's the question to answer to enter:

How do you eat a cupcake?

I used to always eat the frosting first and save the cake for last, but I now I usually just bite right in and try to eat them together.

I peel and then eat it with my fingers, making sure I break of pieces with an even ratio of cake and frosting :)

Giant bites, trying to fit a proportionate amount of cake and frosting in my mouth at the same time!

Ooohh how exciting! I hope I win cause I won't be in Seattle any time soon to get this mix! I always eat a cupcake with a fork! I hate getting messy!
I dig right in! I make sure to have both cake and frosting in every bite!.

I just unwrap and dig in - but I make sure the last couple of bites have lots of frosting, because I like the last bites to be the best bites. This usually means eating a few cake-only bites from the bottom midway through. I may overthink these things.

Bottom to top. Weird huh?

Oh I miss Cupcake Royale too!!! Mmmm. I try to eat my cupcakes with a fork so I can get an equal amount of frosting and cake in each bite. But for some reason, my cupcakes always tip over when I do that. I suppose that's due to the weight of the icing. But I don't mind that!!!

Like the dizzy cupcake! My sweets introduced me to that method and now I think it's the best!

Of course paper off but then I just have a bite of frosting and cake in a bite each till gone.

I just try to take smaller bites and take all of the deliciousness in

With the least amount of guilt and the 2 biggest bites :)

Unwrap. Cutoff top right under brim then flip over so frosting side is down, sandwhich like and take numerous bites until all gone :)

Pull off bottom. Please on top. Boom. Cupcake sandwich. No icing on the nose.
October 11 | Unregistered CommenterJustin S
I bite off the top with all the frosting first! Then eat the rest!

Oh dear! I love to rip off the top and eat them together that way.
October 11 | Unregistered CommenterJasmine
Bottom first - frosting last, of course! Save the best for last!

It definitely depends on the cupcake... If there's a huge mound of frosting, I'll go in with a fork so that I don't end up smashing it all up my nose (and yes, this has happened far too many times before.) If it's more of a thin glaze, I'll peel off the top and eat it first, then return to the cake and bite into it plain. The details are important!

I pull the top of, eat the bottom, then savor the frosting (with a little bit of cake too). :) For me, any kind of cake will forever be an excuse to eat frosting. :)
