I would love love love America's Test Kitchen family cookbook. My mother has one and i have been known to borrow it... *coughcoughstealcough* I am getting married June 24th and I would love to have my very own copy! It is full of delicious recipes both sweet and savory, with easy step by step instructions and tips for the novice cook(me).

This book has been taunting me with its delicious pictures for quite some time. I'm still a novice baker when it comes to anything other than cookies and would like to try my hand at something a little more complex.
Savory Baking by Mary Cech. One of the blogs I read reprinted one of the recipes from the book (with permission) and it was one of the tastiest things I've ever made. While I'm sure I wouldn't be cooking anything from it during the hot summer months I'm sure I'd get a lot of use out if the rest of the year.

Ratio: The Simple Codes Behind the Craft of Everyday Cooking. I want to up the anty and become more free in my cooking! Sure, I can throw together this and that, but I can't help but feel it still tastes like I made it (savory dishes esp). But I want to create a great basic recipe for my favorite sweets and tweak away!
I would love "The Newlywed Kitchen" - my wedding is a mere 5 months away! My fiance' and I just got our first apartment together, so we have breakfast and dinner together every day. Beyond that, I love to bake, and am a devoted fan of Cakespy (Poprock cookies, here I come!). Several times I've seen "The Newlywed Kitchen" referenced, and the recipes I've seen make me think the book is probably amazing!
(I was actually on the Amazon site for the book prior to seeing this poll. Destiny? I think so.)
