Cake Poll: Totally Sweet Jessie Steele Apron Giveaway!

My only regret with this giveaway is that I myself cannot enter--I'm told that this is what they call a "conflict of interest".

Too bad, cos it's a totally sweet prize: a duo of mother-and-daughter aprons by Jessie Steele!

Yup, that's right: one lucky winner (US and Canada entrants only, please) will win not one but two Jessie Steele aprons (a prize worth over $50 USD!) in their popular "Audrey" design--aka, the one with the cute cupcakes! One is sized for adults, and one is sized for children. Undoubtedly even if you don't have children of your own, you won't find it hard to give this pint-sized apron a happy home.

How do you put yourself in the running? It's easy. Just leave a comment below with your response to this pressing cake question:

If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one dessert with you, what would it be?

The fine print: Simply post your response in the comments section and you will automatically be entered! The cake poll will close at 12pm PST on Tuesday, March 16, and the winner will be announced shortly thereafter. Of course, if you find that you can't wait and simply must purchase these aprons, click here to buy. Good luck!

UPDATE: THE WINNER! We have a winner, chosen at random from about 450 entrants: Elizabeth from Jacksonville, FL! What is she gonna make in her Jessie Steele apron? Maybe her "desert island" dessert: "Smores made from my homemade marshmallows and graham crackers to go with my bonfire by the sea". Congratulations to Elizabeth, and come back soon for a new giveaway!

My all-time favorite is Spumoni ice cream. Can't get enough of it, and it seems to only be available at Christmas time. Maybe I will come up with a Spumoni cupcake recipe.

I love plain chocolate - like Ghirardelli Twilight Delight

I would have to say Nanaimo Bars. They have a chocolate layer on the bottom, a chocolate layer on the top and creme filled centre. They are a Canadian Thing.

Smores. They have always been and will always be my favorite dessert. I always look for new ways to mix the gooey marshmellow, white, dark or semisweet chocolate, and sugary graham crakers together. Plus, I would need a fire for this dessert therefore I would also have survivor supplies to stay on that deserted island. Its a WIN WIN! :)

blueberry muffin with streusel top :)

A desert island sounds hot, so I'd need ice cream to keep cool. I think vanilla goes well with sand ;)

white chocolate raspberry cheesecake..... :D

I would like to say all of them, but if I had to choose it would be key lime pie. Not only is it my favorite, it also fits in with the island theme. If there were extra limes on top maybe I could get lucky and a corona would drift on the shore!

I'd have to go with a box of the Amaretto Cherry chocolate truffles that I make. YUM!!

March 10 | Unregistered CommenterEmma Hartel

my very own lemon violet truffles. heaven in a chocolate casing.

March 10 | Unregistered Commenterginger

maple pots de creme. heavenly! however, this is a really difficult choice, and i hate to have to choose a favorite.

I would say my grandmother's apple pie. Despite what the rest of the world thinks, my grandmother makes the quintessential apple pie with thinly sliced apples stacked laboriously upon each other as tightly as possible. If I had this dessert with me, I'd feel at home since my grandmother would be with me.

chocolate cake with white butter cream center and white butter cream frosting covered in chopped walnuts and fresh raspberries... mmmmm.... delicious...

French apple pie with vanilla bean ice cream.

If I was stranded on a desert island and only had ONE dessert to choose from it would have to be (drum roll please...) ~A Double Chocolate Chocolate Chip Bunt Cake with Chocolate Frosting. I do realize this is thick and rich- but all-the-while running around on this deserted island with nothing but coconuts, bananas, fish, and the occasional grub on my plate, I think I would be craving what most of us crave -and that's our yummy yummy chocolate fix. WHO'S with me?! :P

chocolate covered salt caramels. sweet, salty, chocolate = best of every world.
