Cake Poll: Totally Sweet Jessie Steele Apron Giveaway!
My only regret with this giveaway is that I myself cannot enter--I'm told that this is what they call a "conflict of interest".
Too bad, cos it's a totally sweet prize: a duo of mother-and-daughter aprons by Jessie Steele!
Yup, that's right: one lucky winner (US and Canada entrants only, please) will win not one but two Jessie Steele aprons (a prize worth over $50 USD!) in their popular "Audrey" design--aka, the one with the cute cupcakes! One is sized for adults, and one is sized for children. Undoubtedly even if you don't have children of your own, you won't find it hard to give this pint-sized apron a happy home.
How do you put yourself in the running? It's easy. Just leave a comment below with your response to this pressing cake question:
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one dessert with you, what would it be?
The fine print: Simply post your response in the comments section and you will automatically be entered! The cake poll will close at 12pm PST on Tuesday, March 16, and the winner will be announced shortly thereafter. Of course, if you find that you can't wait and simply must purchase these aprons, click here to buy. Good luck!
UPDATE: THE WINNER! We have a winner, chosen at random from about 450 entrants: Elizabeth from Jacksonville, FL! What is she gonna make in her Jessie Steele apron? Maybe her "desert island" dessert: "Smores made from my homemade marshmallows and graham crackers to go with my bonfire by the sea". Congratulations to Elizabeth, and come back soon for a new giveaway!

I would definitely have to pick cheesecake. always cheesecake
Tiramisu! No doubt the esperesso will give me energy to build my getaway raft
Definitely marbled-cheesecake brownies. I would no longer care that I was stranded anywhere with these.
macarons. please don't ask me to pick a flavor though! i am obsessed, and i am LOVING how so many of your recent posts have mentioned them.
Mint chocolate chip ice cream cake!!!!!!
Cheesecake, mmmm, cheesecake.
And this is the perfect drawing for me since my assistant baker and mini-me is named Audrey.
It would have to be donuts! A dozen of any flavor will do. It is the one of the many pastries that I crave all year round.
chocolate cake covered in ganache !
Tsua bing! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baobing
Creme brulee - yummy! :)
I would have to say brownie mix, straight Betty Crocker brand box brownie mix plus the fixings to make it all ooey gooey and scrumptious. And a spoon, although if there was no spoon available I guess I could always just lick the bowl clean...
Normally, I'd say brownies or creme brulee, but on a desert island I think I will want something cold like sorbet (hopefully I'll have a freezer, too!)
The dessert i would want on a desert island is a gazillioin cupcakes cause i'm obsessed with cupcakes and they taste soooooo goooddddd!!!!!!!!
homemade apple fritters. nom.
Hostess HoHos. That's the perfect dessert to me. Chocolate and cream filling
I would definitely have one of those foot long macarons you posted from Fance! xox
Eclairs. Fresh, slightly crunchy, filled with creamy goodness, topped with dark chocolate love.
Chocolate chip cookies with pecans!
Empire Biscuits. I'm a little scottish girl, so it would make me feel homey. as much as i love many other things!!
Definitely strawberry shortcake. You have fruits from the strawberries (yay vitamin C, read: no scurvy!), you have carbohydrates from the shortcake (read: sustaining food!), and you have dairy from the cream (read: bone health!). And then, of course, you also have delicious strawberry shortcakes forever and ever (and you are on a dessert (yes, I said dessert and not desert) island, so who cares about going to the gym!)
cheesecake, any kind!
Hands down, vanilla ice cream!
Chocolate chip cookies !!
Dutch Apple Cake!
I would always look forward to when I would bake this with my mother and my sister when we were young. My mother would take left over apple slices that didn't go in the batter and let us arrange patterns with them on top of the cake before baking. Needless to say, it became a much heated battle between my sister and I who would get this dubious honor so after a while my mother would bake two cakes. (Of course, mine was the best decorated!) Anything with apples both baked on the top and mixed into the cake is the greatest thing ever!
I would need coffee ice cream with toffee chips
