Win It: CakeSpy Tee by WhoopTee!

We can't all be t-shirt designers.

Wait...YES WE CAN!

It's proven by WhoopTee, where you can easily design-your-own tee online. Their easy to use custom design tool makes it a snap to look snazzy (yes I just said that) in the t-shirt of your own design.

It's fun, easy, and they are a great idea for gifts. I say use it!

You can ALSO win a CakeSpy tee that was designed using the WhoopTee design tool - they've offered up four of these sweet tees pictured above for me to give away! It's artwork taken from this bigger piece that you may remember:

But I digress. Down to tacks. HOW DO YOU WIN ONE?

It's so easy. All you have to do is this:

1. Respond to this post by commenting (don't panic if it does not show up right away. I have comment moderation enabled and I will get to it!) on this post. In that comment, riddle me this important question: what is your MOST EMBARRASSING DESSERT MOMENT? Ooh, I can't wait to judge you--I mean, carefully view your responses.

This giveaway will close one week from today, on Monday, September 24th; I'll announce the winners shortly after!

My most embarrassing dessert moment was what I like to refer to as THE DISASTER. It was my attempt at making Pink Lemonade cupcakes for a friends birthday. The recipe was suppose to yield 24 cupcakes, but instead, after a series of problems I ended up with 5. To make matters worse, the 4 cupcakes I showed up to the party with got completely ravaged in the car ride to her house. It was awful.
The most embarrassing moment for me was when I made cupcakes in sixth grade for me and my friends and i switched baking soda for baking powder or vise versa i can't remember. Anyway when i got them to school my friends took a bite out of them and spit it out it was horrible they made fun of me the rest of the week

The strawberry season just started and I wanted to eat them so badly but my mother (she puts sugar on strawberries..I mean basically on any fruit) bothered me to bring her some sugar. And, because I was in a hurry, I took the salt and put a large amount of it over her strawberries. I didn't notice until she started spitting the strawberries all over the room. I laughed so hard!!

My son asked me to make a cake for a friend's birthday party. I used a 1M tip to cover the cakes with roses. I packed it carefully in a box for the ride to the party. When my son arrived at his friend's house, he took out the cake to discover the frosting roses had slid off the cake! He said it tasted good but I considered it a fail!

Hmmmm, my most embarrasing dessert moment was when I thought adding Nibs to my cupcakes would make them "Awesome" nope, not really just a chewy mess!!!!!!!! :(

My most embarrassing dessert moment was when I was baking or attempting to bake cookies in front of a class.I was teaching how to bake perfect cookies and my cookies instead of baking into round cookies they spread all over my cookie sheet! To this day I don't know what happened. Lol

Cinnamon rolls that didn't rise when I forgot to add the yeast : (

I think it would be trying to make a Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel cake thinking i could just pour caramel in the middle in between the cakes & then frost it. The cake slid all over the place and it was hard to frost - so it was a very uneven cake :(

One time when I was a kid (probably about eleven or twelve) my best friend and I were making chocolate no-bake cookies and we were cutting the recipe in half. We measured out the proper amount of every ingredient except the sugar, which resulted in super gritty and overly sweet cookies. My best friend's Dad ate them all that week anyway, bless his heart (and sweet tooth).

My most embarrassing dessert moment would have to involve the brownies I made for my best friends birthday. I decided to forgo the usual wrapping paper (I'm now wishing I didn't!), and just took them down to the beach with a pretty bow on top . Anyway, one failed piggyback and some dodgy Tupperware later, the brownies ended up face down in the sand :( I managed to salvage most but there were still a few mumbles of "Does this brownie taste kinda gritty to you?" Not my brightest brownie moment, I have to say...

One of my biggest baking flops was a Chocolate Roll. A light chocolate cake with a whipped
cream center rolled like a jelly roll and frosted with choicolate frosting. I thought it would be fun to subsitute the whipped cream with some of the whipped cream in the can. I can tell you that
the whole dessert was flat....whipped cream in a can loses it's poof right away. That means a
soggy chocolate roll,....no cream center :o( Thanks for a chance to win some of your great t shirts.

For my best friend's birthday I made a tiramisu kit (a box with all the ingredients of tiramisu) because it's his favorite dessert. I surprised him at his house on his birthday with this kit so we can make it together! We spent a good chunk of time making it perfect, put it in the fridge and then it was finally time to take it out. Now a good tiramisu is made in a springform pan... and that's what I did... it would've been beautiful and perfect... if I had clasped the ring around the pan tightly. But I didn't. I take it out of the fridge, on my way to the table, the whole bottom of the pan went CRASH. All our hard work was ruined and the entire tiramisu is splattered all over his kitchen floor. There are pictures of me just sitting next to the tiramisu with the most horrified and sad look on my face. =(

I offered to make a cake for my friend's 2 year old's birthday party. I found a picture that looked "rustic" and nice. I'm no cake decorator, but I can bake. Cakes turned out fine. I went to put the frosting on them and they all fell apart. They tasted so good, but they were HIDEOUS. I ended up calling a grocery store bakery and taking cupcakes. It so so sad.

When I was twelve, I was making a smoothie in the blender my parents had received many years before as a wedding present. For some reason, I thought it would be helpful to (while the blender was running) stick a fork inside to poke the stubborn fruits back to the bottom where they would be properly blended. Unfortunately, as you can imagine, this didn't go well. The heavy glass blender shattered COMPLETELY and sliced open my hand in the process. My mother still liked to remind me to this day that she got to clean up broken glass, peaches, and blood that had splattered ALL OVER our kitchen while I was getting doctored back up that night.

I mean really... I was twelve. I should have known better. But apparently I was a total nincompoop. Haha.

My aunt makes the most amazing sugar cookies. My family from out of town always swoop in and snatches up all the leftovers from holiday dinners and takes them home. I was pissed they swiped all of my favorite cookies at Thanksgiving, so at Christmas I hid the Tupperware container in the linen closet. Super embarrassing when my Gran found it, and called me out.

I was making my favorite banana cake. It's a recipe that I've used so many times with great success, that I don't even bother tasting the finished product because I know it's going to be good. I brought the cake to a housewarming party for my cousin, only to find out that several of the guests were badmouthing my baked good. What? They didn't like banana? I grabbed a slice for myself, took a bite, and my mouth immediately puckered; I had unknowingly substituted salt for sugar. I threw it out and denied any association with that particular cake. It haunts me to this day...

It was my sons 8th birthday and it was armed services themed. I worked really hard on 2 dozen cupcakes making them camoflage with camoflage icing and making medallions in black chocolate spray painted gold. They looked great, until I had to go pick up rice and beans from my local Mexican restaurant. The waitress put te beans right next to the cupcakes in the trunk sitting on something and during the car ride the beans slide and landed on the cupcakes. Needless to say, beans spilled into my cupcakes and melted the frosting and chocolate medallions. When I got to the park where the party was being held I opened my trunk and found everything. I was so upset that I started crying to make matters worse there was another dozen cupcakes sitting up front with me which in the car ride fell everywhere. I screamed the "F" word really loud and burst into more tears. Parents where around and heard everything. Worse baking disaster ever.

My girlfriends and I have a cupcake baking night every couple of months. Everyone brings a mix and frosting and we go nuts (yes, there is usually wine involved). One time, we went a little overboard and had over 80 cupcakes when we were done. We couldn't give them away fast enough. We finally started taking plates of them out with us everywhere we went, to bars, stores, etc just to get rid of them all!!!

And yes, we have photo proof of this cupcake-takeover!!!!

I was planning to pie my boss in the face (we were doing that sort of thing) so I stashed a pie on a top shelf in the prep station of the restaurant. He, being a bit taller than me, saw the pie and removed it, but for some reason left the plate. Later that day, when we were serving dinner, the moment came when we were both in prep area and I knew it was now or never. So I reached up and, without looking to see the pie was missing, shoved it into his face. I even did the smooshing motion. Without the pie to cushion the impact, I proceeded to leave a very large welt on his forehead... boy did I regret that desert disaster!

My most embarassing baking moment was when i was at a bake sale for my school. I volunteered to help with the frosting yhe cupcakes and handing the out while the younger kinds read their stories about their favorite baked good. I was rushing to give all the orders when i slipped on a dropped cupcake, flinging seven cupcakes behind me onto three people, scaring about twenty people and knocking over two kids who where behind me. Yep. Then when i went to return the people with their mew cupcakes, my friends messed with me by puttingicing on the floor. But jokes on them because guess where the cupcakes landed? Cupcake face palm.

As a young child learning to cook, I was tasked with baking my family's dessert contribution for a holiday party. It all came together so well, except for the part where I didn't know the difference between a tablespoon and teaspoon. Using a tablespoon of baking powder when the recipe calls for a teaspoon is enough to make sure that you never make that mistake again.

At the last class of elementary school we had to cook/bake the dishes we've learned in our cooking class for our parents... I was in a group that had to make chocolate pudding tarts.
So we were mixing all the ingredients, joke around etc. When we were done, we joined our parents and started to eat the food we made.
When we finally came to desserts, everyone was starting to spit chocolate pudding tarts that we've baked on their plates, including we, the group that baked them. The reason was, that one of our classmates switched sugar with salt!
It's been more than 10 years since and to this day I still don't have a clue who did this :)

p.s. sorry about my poor english :/
