Giveaway: Joy the Baker Cookbook!

This Saturday, one of my favorite sweet and awesome people in the world, Joy Wilson (but you can call her Joy the Baker) is coming to CakeSpy Shop in Seattle to promote her new book, Joy the Baker Cookbook: 100 Simple and Comforting Recipes !

You can buy her book, buy my book too, and hang out with both of us as well as the winner of the and the winner of the "So You Wanna Be a CakeSpy?" contest, Molly Allen!

But. In the odd event that you are not able to make it -- be it that you've recently lost a limb, found yourself stranded in a blizzard, or perhaps just live 2000 miles away from Seattle--there's a silver lining to that cloud: I'm giving away a copy of Joy's amazing book right here!

How do you enter? It's totally easy. You just tell me why YOU deserve it. Now, I'll be honest: the winner will be chosen at random, so cleverness is not vital in your response, but it sure will amuse me.

That's right: the heat is on. Tell me why YOU deserve the Joy the Baker cookbook ! The winner will be chosen on March 17 at noon PST.

I have deadly serious girl crushes on many a blogger, and Joy might be right up at the top of that list. If I had her book, I know that I'd lock myself into my kitchen (oh man, I wish that were possible) and make everything that I possibly could and eat it until collapsing into a sugar coma. Actually, that's probably a good reason for me not to win the book. Whoops.

I always joke with my co-workers that I bake for their birthdays so I can just make them gain weight so I can avoid going to the gym.

I read Joy's blog everyday! And all her recipes look so delicious.

Since having a couple babies, I've gotten busy and kinda lost my baking mojo. I'd love to have her new cookbook to inspire me! :)

Because I am in Ontario, and she is not coming anywhere near me, and that makes me sad. She was the first baking blogger that I ever followed, and I have used her recipes (especially her red velvet cupcake recipe) a million jillion times. She seems like a pretty awesome person, and I love her blog. :) I would love to have her cookbook so I don't have to print and reprint her recipes. :)

Because it is the best cook book around and I bake all the time. Running out of ideas and I think the cookbook would be the place to find them.

I need the cookbook because I am an 11 year old pastry chef who is just getting off her feet and only knows a few recipes, tips, and tricks. I need the book so I can improve my dictionary of sweets and delicious treats! I need the book to show my mom that she is NOT wasting her time and money to help me conquer my dreams of being a famous Pastry Chef and I am really in it to win it. To show her that this is more than a hobby. I need that cookbook to complete my life!
I would love this book because I am always on the search for new and delicious dessert recipes. Plus, anything that is a "Celebration of butter and sugar" is basically my motto for life.
I deserve it because:
- I'm sweet, like Joy and the yummy recipes in her book;
- I'm fun, like Joy's blog posts;
- I love to eat, especially Joy's treats; and
- I would blog about all my baking endeavors on Diary of an Amateur Crafter!

I NEED another excuse to come to see you in your shop! Evidently your fabulous book that I've been holding onto for MONTHS now hasn't been enough of a reason to head into downtown! Please oh please give me another reason!
Would love to meet you both :)

I have loved every recipe that I've tried from Joy the Baker. Tomorrow I'm making the Caramelized Onion and Mushroom Biscuits for a wedding shower brunch. Baking is my favorite way to show love to my friends and family. Joy lives this. (Jessie too!) Thanks for all the sweet & savory love!
