Cake Poll: Totally Sweet Jessie Steele Apron Giveaway!

My only regret with this giveaway is that I myself cannot enter--I'm told that this is what they call a "conflict of interest".

Too bad, cos it's a totally sweet prize: a duo of mother-and-daughter aprons by Jessie Steele!

Yup, that's right: one lucky winner (US and Canada entrants only, please) will win not one but two Jessie Steele aprons (a prize worth over $50 USD!) in their popular "Audrey" design--aka, the one with the cute cupcakes! One is sized for adults, and one is sized for children. Undoubtedly even if you don't have children of your own, you won't find it hard to give this pint-sized apron a happy home.

How do you put yourself in the running? It's easy. Just leave a comment below with your response to this pressing cake question:

If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one dessert with you, what would it be?

The fine print: Simply post your response in the comments section and you will automatically be entered! The cake poll will close at 12pm PST on Tuesday, March 16, and the winner will be announced shortly thereafter. Of course, if you find that you can't wait and simply must purchase these aprons, click here to buy. Good luck!

UPDATE: THE WINNER! We have a winner, chosen at random from about 450 entrants: Elizabeth from Jacksonville, FL! What is she gonna make in her Jessie Steele apron? Maybe her "desert island" dessert: "Smores made from my homemade marshmallows and graham crackers to go with my bonfire by the sea". Congratulations to Elizabeth, and come back soon for a new giveaway!

Carrot cake. Vaguely nutritious because of the fiber content to keep up my bikini physique, because what else are you going to do on a dessert island, but tan all day. That, and cream cheese frosting is my soulmate.

I would have to pick chocolate chip cookies. They are by far my favorite dessert!

Chocolate cake of course. Yummy!

it really is very hard to pick one, but i think it would be homemade chocolate caramels.

Brownies with chocolate frosting

Lemon meringue pie - tart not sweet but with a 2-3 inch meringue topping that simply melts in your mouth

Oh man.... Coca-Cola chocolate cake! yummmmmmmmmy! I made some today actually, scrumptious! ^.^"

Oh man, that's a toughy.

I'd say it's a tie between plain ole brownies or my home-made peach crisp. Hm...I guess the peaches are better for you...even when they're covered in sugary goodness....

Tiramisu! The one thing I would kill to try making myself but haven't yet. And the only thing with any coffee flavor that I actually like :x

Snickerdoodles, for sure.

Oatmeal cake with apples and broiled coconut frosting. YUM!

Wow-tough choice. I'd have to say a hot fudge sundae with homemade vanilla ice cream and tons of whipped cream, loaded on top of a fudgy, dense brownie, with a side of creme brulee, served by John Cusack.

Mmm. ..I can't pass on lemon squares ever! Love, love, love 'em. And those aprons are so super cute. Thanks the opportunity to win!

If I were stranded on a dessert Island I would be just fine, because it's made of dessert. How silly of you to ask. If I were to choose one dessert I would pick a chocolate cake by Marcel Desaulniers, and die after eating it.

Salty Chocolate Chip cookies! The warm dessert island would make it seem like they were always fresh from the oven.

March 6 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

I'd have to go with brownie batter... with chocolate chunks!

March 6 | Unregistered CommenterMichelle

March 6 | Unregistered Commenterashley

I concur with all the cheesecake lovers.

It would have to be the Philly cream cheese chocolate chip cheesecake. It was a recipe that was in all magazines in the nineties. It was one of the first things I tried to bake on my own when I was a teenager.

March 6 | Unregistered Commenterstarla

I'd have banana whipped cream cake.

March 7 | Unregistered Commenterdawn

i'd say red velvet cake but i can't have that without milk. so shortbread cookies!!!

March 7 | Unregistered Commenterkaren

I would definitely say Brownie with a vanilla ice

March 7 | Unregistered CommenterIris L

Death by Chocolate: A trifle made with brownies, chocolate mousse, Kahlua, Cool Whip, and Heath Bars.

March 7 | Unregistered Commenterjoan

marble cheesecake with an oreo cookie crust...a double thick crust...super delish!

March 7 | Unregistered Commenterlinda

Creme brulee!! The carmelized sugar and the wonderful custard would be perfect on an island chilled. Who knows maybe i can find a coconut and have a refreshing beverage with it? :)
