First off: what is a Lollicake?
Per the Lollicake Bakeshop site: Lollicakes are yummy, bite-size cupcakes on a stick! Rich cake blended with creamy frosting and dipped in vanilla or chocolate, lollicakes are the perfect hand-held treat.
Pretty much as you may have suspected, it's heaven on a stick. And now, these little nuggets of sweetness are available for custom order in an unlikely duo of locations: Denver and Boston! (The business is run by a mother and daughter in the two respective locations).

I agree with comment #1 - Bakerella can't be beat. Have you seen here Sesame Street cake Pops? They are OVER THE TOP! I can't imagine trying to create such cuteness en masse... They are doing a pretty good job, I'd say.

Dee, You must visit bakerella.com.. shes shows you exactly how to make them! Whats great is that you can turn your cake pops into any flavor you want! I tried making the cake bites because I didnt have the lollipop sticks on hand, and considering they were my first attempt, they were really cute and yummy!
Question for Rae... have you made these before? when I made them my cake balls were not perfectly round, but they were a nice shape, so my question is how do you make the chocolate coating so perfectly even? mine were cute, but you could tell that the cake was not uniform... any suggestions?

Paige ~ I freeze my pops with the stick in them overnight, and then when I go to coat them, I add a little oil (do a google search about thinning chocolate for coating), and they come out much more even. I take them out of the freezer in smaller batches so that they don't have much time to warm up, and the shell cools faster.

Lollicake Bakeshop really takes the cake. Yes, Bakerella is great, but Lollicake Bakeshop has really taken these to a new level! They are so creative in both their flavors and designs--I really don't think there's anything they can't do!!! My sister used them for her wedding favors and the comments were endless. Yummy, bite-size cupcakes on a stick! Yes indeed!!! My business ordered over 200 lollicakes from the Lollicake Bakeshop for a Halloween event in Boston. They were amazing! Everything from spiders, ghosts, goblins, pumpkins and even the purple people eater! Pumpkin Spice cake was delicious!! For Valentine's day some of the men at work ordered baskets for their ladies, they were so cute! With red velvet and strawberry flavored lollicakes YUM! I know the Lollicake Bakeshop has won my company over and it is only a matter of time until they win all of Boston and Denver over with the little taste of heaven on a stick!!
The Lollicake Bakeshop just did a fundraiser for The Leukemia Foundation and donated all the Lollicakes and their time bringing in almost one thousand dollars!!! They did twenty-eight buckets of colorful Easter themed Lollicakes for clients in Vail, Colorado. Thank you Lollicake Bakeshop!
