Cake Byte: CakeSpy to Attend a Kelly Ripa and Electrolux Event in NYC

Guess what, NYC? You're about to get a whole lot sweeter.

Yup! Your dear Head Spy Jessie and 15 other Foodbuzz Featured Publishers have been invited to join Kelly Ripa in NYC for a special cake decorating event on February 9th sponsored by Electrolux to generate support for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (oh, and you can stay updated via Twitter: follow @KCbyElectrolux)

More details to follow, of course!

So...how totally sweet is that? Pretty sweet. Any new bakeries I should visit while I'm in town? Other than Village Tart (which is now officially on the must-visit list), of course?

LOVE Kelly & cuppie together!

That is so coooool! Can't wait to read about your adventures in NYC!

ooooh awesome!
I don't know when the trip is, and it's not exactly a bakery per se, but February is pancake month at Clinton Street!

Such awesome news!

You should check out Led Zeppole, I plan to make a visit there sometime myself ;)

I second the Led Zeppole - had them last weekend. The zeppole's are drizzled with maple syrup - yum! And they also offer that other fair favorite: deep fried oreos (if you are so inclined).

Have a sweet time. I quite like good ol' Amy's on 9th ave. Also it's fun to go to any of the Sarabeth's places (Chelsea Market is quite nice). If you get to DUMBO part of Brooklyn, the Jacques Torres joints are sweet indeed (ice cream, chocolate and patisserie shops, oh my). And so many other options. My head is spinning and I can't think straight due to sugar plums dancing in my head now, but if I get over it, I'll send more suggestions.
