Cake Poll: Love and Chocolate!

Win it: Cake poll!
How time flies! It's been a while since our last Cake Poll, so we're making up for it by offering a very sweet treat: an original (not a print!) Cakespy watercolor! The watercolor (shown top) will come in a 4x5 inch frame and will go to just one lucky winner. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment with your responses to the below poll, centered around the star of all February sweetness: chocolate! Here goes:

  1. Chocolates for Valentine's Day: cute or cliché?
  2. The chocolate box: which flavor would you rather leave for others?
  3. Milk chocolate: amateur hour or respectable citizen?
  4. Chocolate in savory foods (mole sauce, etc): awesome, or awful?
  5. Hot chocolate: with or without marshmallows?
  6. Chocolate-flavored or scented body products: ooh, or eww?
  7. What's your favorite chocolate dessert?
The poll is open for anyone (US and international!) to enter; the deadline is 12 p.m. PST on Saturday, February 14. The winner will be announced shortly after!

Chocolates for Valentine's Day:

If someone gets you a little prezzie and it's a box o' chocolates, even if it's some random drugstore cherry-filled waxy chocolates, it's still soooo cute that you got a present!!

The chocolate box:

Sometimes the ones with like the big honking brazil nuts inside give me hives. But only sometimes! So I tend to avoid the chocolates with big honking brazil nuts.

Milk chocolate:

Super delicious respectability quotient, juuuuust right for certain occasions, ie: going to the movies, going to the corner store and spending 75 cents.

Chocolate in savory foods (mole sauce, etc): awesome, or awful?

Extreme barf alert. Yucky, yucky, yucky! I also hate cupcakes and wine!!! Stop it, people!

Hot chocolate: with or without marshmallows? Crucially with marshmallows. Let them bob up and down and get melty. Mmmmm.

Chocolate-flavored or scented body products: ooh, or eww?

SUPER DISGUSTINGNESS!!!

What's your favorite chocolate dessert?

I like a premium hot fudge sundae. That's the first thing that came to mind!!!

1.Chocolates for Valentine's Day: cute or cliché?

I suppose it's a bit cliche by now, but I still wouldn't complain if I got some!

2.The chocolate box: which flavor would you rather leave for others?

This one is easy: whenever I receive a box of chocolates, I always wish there was a way to get rid of all the ones with nuts/nut oils. Dumb allergies!

3.Milk chocolate: amateur hour or respectable citizen?

Definitely good in its own right.

Chocolate in savory foods (mole sauce, etc): awesome, or awful?

I just saw chocolate covered bacon today, and I have to say, that is pretty badass.

Hot chocolate: with or without marshmallows?

Just one big one that floats right in the center.

Chocolate-flavored or scented body products: ooh, or eww?

I'll pass.

What's your favorite chocolate dessert?

I am really into brownie sundaes right now. Working near Ghirardelli Square isn't helping.

Milk chocolate: amateur hour or respectable citizen? Respectable citizen, I think there are times when it can be better than dark, and children choose it over dark so its gotta be good :)

Chocolates for Valentine's Day: cute or cliché?
Cute. Although, after years of waiting for a heart shaped box of decadent chocolates, I received one from an ex-boyfriend, by then the excitement was lost. Why couldn't he have done that when we were together? It was a velvet covered box from Godiva too, we're not talking the Whitman Sampler.

The chocolate box: which flavor would you rather leave for others? The creams are disgusting.

Milk chocolate: Milk is only for emergencies, if I can't find Dark chocolate.

Chocolate in savory foods (mole sauce, etc): awesome, or awful? AWESOME! I had an amazing venison dish with a hint of chocolate to accompany the meat.

Hot chocolate: Depends. At home I prefer it with marshmallows, but when I'm out and about I prefer the whipped cream --- especially on a Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. OMG!

Chocolate-flavored or scented body products: Not for me.

What's your favorite chocolate dessert? Chocolate Mousse. Light, creamy and fluffy.

6.Chocolate-flavored or scented body products: ooh, or eww?
Ewwwwwwww! The only thing that should smell of chocolate is chocolate.

7.What's your favorite chocolate dessert?
