Cake Poll: Sweets In Movies, and a Sweet Giveaway!

Sweet Giveaway
Are you ready for some Christmas magic? Heck yes! With that in mind, how 'bout another giveaway?

This time, it's a totally sweet prize pack brought to you by the movie It's Complicated, featuring Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, which was directed by Nancy Meyers and will be in theatres on December 25. Why this movie? Well, because as you know I am fascinated with dessert in movies, and this one features the inimitable Meryl as a baker!

Here's what you can win:

Prize 1: “Uncomplicate Your Holidays with a Visa Cash Card!” -- one winner will receive a $50 Visa Gift Card, and an It’s Complicated tote bag filled with an apron, t-shirt, blanket and the official soundtrack!

Prize 2: Five additional *daily* winners will receive an It’s Complicated Tote Bag filled with an Apron & T-shirt!

These sound like some sweet prizes for movie enthusiasts!

How do you enter?

It's easy: just leave a comment below saying what your favorite food-in-movie scene is! And since I'm feeling generous, feel free to post your favorite sweet or savory food moment in movies!

The giveaway will run for two weeks! In the meantime, check out the trailer below--you can also find out more about the movie on the official website or on Facebook!

My earliest favorite food scene in a movie is the one from Disney's Lady and the Tramp where they are sharing a plate of spaghetti and meet nose to nose in the middle of the same piece of spaghetti. My next favorite would be in the movie Big Night with Stanley Tucci and Tony Shalhoub making fantastic food for a critic. Most of the movie is filled with them cooking or eating if I remember right.

I would love to win this giveaway. Thanks for a chance at it.

My favorite food moment in a movie is in When Harry Met Sally and they are at a restaurant she orders so specifically and he is annoyed by it, but the best part is when she fakes an orgasm before they even begin the meal and a fellow customers replies to her waiter, " I'll have what she's having". It's also my favorite quote from a movie. :)
Happy Holidays!

My favorite food moments on screen are in the movie Better Off Dead with John Cusack. First when he's working at the burger place and the burger comes to life and sings "Everybody Wants Some" (it always gets stuck in my head!)

Also when he makes a "romantic" dinner - of tv dinners.

And last - but not least - when his mother makes a great "French feast" for the foreign exchange student; french fries, french dressing and french bread. With perrier to drink, of course.

I think my favorite food scene would be from the movie Waitress when the main character enters the pie contest and creates all sorts of pies based on how she's feeling and her emotions that day. I just think it's so clever.

I know it's not really a typically beautiful food scene, but I just really like it.

I've heard great things about Meryl's new movie, and I like that she's a baker!

I think my favorite scene is in Amelie, when she visits the farmers market and she and the vendor talk about the "petit choufleur" (cauliflower). I also love all of the scenes of cooking and eating in Big Night.
