How do you put yourself in the running? It's easy. Just answer the following question:
What is the most unusual cupcake flavor you've ever tasted?
Maple bacon? Chai cardamom? Bananas foster? There are all sorts of unusual cupcake flavor combinations out there--have you sampled any of them? Or if you haven't sampled any unusual flavors, are there any you've wanted to try?
You can enter yourself in the running for a $50 gift certificate to Sweet Cuppin Cakes by entering your response to the above question in the comments section below; you might want to browse their shop in the meantime! The cake poll will close at 12 p.m. PST on Friday, November 13, 2009. Good luck!

Chocolate chipotle cupcake. Don't recommend it either. It was pretty nasty.
Banana with Peanut Butter Buttercream. Or Possibly the Chocolate Bacon Cupcake with Cream Cheese Buttercream, Very GOOD!
My friends and I invented lemonberry cherries, an imaginary fruit, and succeeded in making lemonberry cherry cupcakes by altering the Lemon Berry recipe from Patisserie Natalie shown here on Cakespy a while back. They were THE BEST CUPCAKES I had EVER tasted!!!!!!!!Allison & Teal(Lia)
Pumpkin/chocolate chip/pecan cupcakes/muffins are AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Allison & Teal(Lia)
i'd say the most unusual cupcake i've tried is a mexican chocolate streusel cupcake, but that was more unusual because it had a very different texture from most cupcakes. i'd love to try a cupcake flavored like the namesake drink of Sevilla, Spain-Agua de Sevilla. it has pineapple and orange juice, brandy, champagne, cream, and cinnamon. sounds bizarre, but is so delicious! i think it'd make a great cupcake.
KeyLime Pie would probably be the most unusual cupcake I have had.
Hi thereI would love to try a pink champagne flavor mmmmmGreat blog - love the photosCatieCathycurrie@comcast.net
I tried a bit of a bacon & beer cupcake at Cupcake Camp NYC! It wasn't really my thing, but kudos to the creators for an interesting recipe!
I once had a taste of a cupcake that had ketchup as one of the ingredients. It wasn't terrible but not that great either. I love chili on just about everything I eat and would love to try a chocolate, cinnamon and chili cupcake
I want a butter rum cupcake that reminds me of LifeSavers candy...
