Sweet Giveaway: Win a KitchenAid Mixer or a Cupcake Kit, Compliments of Top Chef Just Desserts

I'm sure that there's something better than winning stuff, but at this moment, nothing is coming to mind.

That's because my friends (we're totally BFF, didn't you know? Of course, see note at bottom) at Bravo have offered up this totally mega-sweet giveaway because of their extreme happiness surrounding the premiere of Top Chef Just Desserts Season 2. Want to read more about it? OK:

The chef'testants and the sugar are back for season 2! As the pastry chefs meet and greet, they are surprised by host Gail Simmons and head judge Johnny Iuzzini with their first Quickfire Challenge.  One of the first challenges includes a fairy-tale inspired dessert. Imagination and talent are a must to survive the not-so-sugar coated competition. Will the chef's be able to get past their first-challenge nerves and fight their way to sweet success, or will the pressure make some contestants crumble from the start? Find out this Wednesday 8/24 @ 10/9c on the PREMIERE of BRAVO's Top Chef Just Desserts 2

Two winners will be chosen. A grand prize winner will receive a gorgeous Kitchen-Aid Mixer; a runner-up will win this cute and sweet cupcake kit.

How do you enter? Totally easy. Since this week not only marks the premiere of Season 2 of Just Desserts but my own 30th season of life (aka, it's my birthday on the 26th), tell me what kind of birthday cake you're wishing for this year. Leave it in the comments section below (comments are moderated so don't cry if you don't see it pop up right away!) or on the CakeSpy facebook page! But don't delay: this giveaway closes on August 26th at 5pm PST.

The fine print: This prize was provided by the BRAVO Network but BRAVO is not a sponsor, administrator, or involved in any other way with this giveaway. All opinions expressed in the post are my own and not those of BRAVO. Per prize donor: entrants from the USA only.

UPDATE: The winners! The KitchenAid went to Erika of Fargo, ND, and the cupcake kit went to Suzanne S. of Austin, TX! Congratulations, ladies.

I want what I always got as a kid - an ice cream cake made of moist chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream! Yummy!

I am hoping for either a white cake with lots of white buttercream frosting or a yummy new york style cheesecake. My birthday is Aug 25th so I will not have to wait long to find out what kind of cake I get

I would love a carrot cake for my birthday. It's my favorite!

I like ice-cream cakes. I'd like a black licorice ice-cream cake with layers of salty caramel ice-cream. It should be covered in French Macarons filled with tasty tasty Ameretti ice cream. Not a pretty cake, and I suspect not a very popular cake. But damn it, it's my birthday (and seriously licorice and caramel = gold!)

Since my 30 years is fast approaching : /. 9/20 to be exact, I would love a strawberry short cake. I remember it was such a treat as a child and I don't think I have had it in 20 years.

Since my birthday is on New Years Eve I'd love to have a vanilla and chocolate cake filled with cream cheese frosting decorated in a black and white theme that is sparkely and bedazzeled with various NYE themed items! Sparklers instead of candles is a must!!

I'm drooling just thinking about cake! If I could choose a bday cake this year, I think it would be chocolate cake with a raspberry buttercream inside and frosting the outside. Add some chocolate flowers and now we're talking!

I love ALL cake, but my favorite over the years has been spice cake with rich chocolate frosting!!! YUM. Love your site, by the way. Very cute, very informative!!!

I just had my birthday at the beginning of the month. For my party (held a month early, because, hey - why not?), I wished for - and got - a pink cake. No particular flavor, just pink. For my actual birthday, I wished for - and got (because I baked it myself) - a Chocolate Root Beer Float cake (a la Joy the Baker).

If I was still wishing, I would want a really good chocolate cake...and one that I didn't have to bake myself!

Hmmmmmm...I believe I'd wish for an Italian Creme cake for my birthday. It has everything: pecans, coconut, cream cheese and did I mention the coconut? Yummy!

Thanks!

A chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and blue buttercream decorations, because light blue tastes the best. It's not exactly gourmet, but I've had the same cake every year for all 21 of my previous birthdays, so I can't break tradition at this point (nor do I want to)

I would love a Red Velvet Cake with a pink strawberry cake inside, and cream cheese frosting tinted red, and rainbow sprinkles. That's magic right there.
