Chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. (Although my personal flavour favourite is chocolate on chocolate.) I think the vanilla really sets off the richness of the chocolate cake, while making the perfect backdrop for decorations - chocolate shavings, anyone?

I'd definitely say chocolate cake/vanilla frosting. :) And by vanilla frosting, inmean cream cheese frosting. That's pretty much the only kind I like. I sure do like the cake part, though. :)

as much as i enjoy both, i'm going to go with vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. there's just something magical in a chocolate buttercream frosting.
