I don't know why, but the peanut butter cookies with the hershey kisses on top always mean Christmas to me. We never made them at any other time during the year.
But word of advice: Don't try to 'christmas them up' with red or green sugar. the final product is not visually appealing. :)
I can't wait to make (and taste) my creamy Christmas fudge with crushed peppermint sticks coating the top...it's making me hungry.

Im looking forward to making "Sufganyot" (singular Sufganya) which is a traditional dessert for Chanukkah.
It is made by deep frying sweet dough in oil and injecting the sufganya with something sweet like jam, buttercream or chocolate sauce. The traditional filling is strawberry jam. The sufganya is sprinkled with powdered sugar and eaten throughout the holliday, a special favorite of mine :)
Happy holidays, Zohar
Fudge...that is my favorite and shortbreads too!
